Job description
We are recruiting for a Senior Compliance Specialist to join a growing Risk & Compliance function within a well-established business operating in a regulated commercial environment.
This role will focus on ensuring company products, processes, and customer solutions remain compliant with FCA, consumer credit, GDPR, and wider regulatory requirements. You will provide technical compliance support across the business, support legal documentation and policy management, and help develop compliant customer solutions.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in compliance, risk, governance, or regulatory environments who enjoys balancing technical knowledge with commercial awareness.
What you’ll do
- Provide technical compliance support across the business, customers, and third parties
- Ensure compliance with FCA, Consumer Credit Act, GDPR, and related regulatory requirements
- Draft, review, and maintain policies, procedures, controls, and legal documentation
- Support the development and implementation of compliant business and customer solutions
- Deliver guidance and training on regulatory and technical compliance matters
- Conduct process reviews, audits, and reporting to identify improvements and reduce risk
- Maintain accurate document libraries and compliance records
- Support continuous improvement initiatives across compliance and operational processes, * Hybrid working environment

Requirements
- Experience within a compliance, regulatory, risk, or governance role
- Knowledge of FCA regulations, Consumer Credit Act, GDPR, or similar regulatory frameworks
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
- Ability to interpret and communicate complex regulatory information clearly
- Strong stakeholder management and relationship-building skills
- Experience reviewing policies, procedures, and compliance documentation
- Commercial awareness and a proactive approach to problem-solving
- Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Word and Excel
Desirable
- Experience within automotive finance, leasing, financial services, or another regulated sector
- Experience with process mapping, audits, or compliance reporting
- Relevant compliance, legal, taxation, or regulatory qualifications
