Job description

· As part of the Team, help build tools that optimise investment and operational decisions in the world-class, scalable capture system that is built.

· Be a specialist in building and maintaining production-grade data pipelines, data connections, and ontologies within the Palantir Foundry platform.

· Implement the data layer of the application using the Palantir Foundry platform, revising the current design implemented in other technologies

· Serve as a knowledge resource regarding Palantir tools for the rest of the team

What you will do

· Quickly come up to speed on the current data organization of the product, converting that data model into a Palantir Ontology representation

· Develop back-end code logic that leverages semantic object linking (ontologies) to enhance data integration, analysis, and visualisation capabilities.

· Give suggestions and recommendations on changes to the data model that would improve performance, extensibility, or flexibility of the Palantir solution

· Work closely with data strategists to develop technology solutions for business problems, ensuring seamless data flow and integration.

· Implement validations and transforms of the Ontology data as required, taking full advantage of Foundry platform capabilities

· Create examples or write interface code that will ease connection to Ontology data from other parts of our system

· Create and configure ontology objects using backing datasets, permissions, and other configurations.

· Document ontologies, data models, schemas, formats, and software application program interfaces.

· Partner with product owners, architects, and developers to design data architecture and pipelining.

· Provide training and support to users on the capabilities and use cases enabled by the enhancement of Palantir Foundry ontology.

Requirements

Do you have experience in Teamwork?, · Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, quantitative sciences, or mathematics; alternatively significant practical software project experience

· Multiple years of experience in building data heavy applications or working as a data engineer

· Producing or maintaining high-quality data assets in Foundry

· Knowledge of distributed computing frameworks (e.g., Spark) and programming languages (e.g., Python, SQL).

· Demonstrated proficiency and experience with building applications in Palantir Foundry, focused on data modeling and utilization of Ontology Manager tool

· Strong analytical thinking skills with ability to assimilate software architectures and data designs quickly

· Adaptability to rapidly changing priorities and an ability to deliver work on time

· Good technical communication and collaboration skills; experience working in Agile teams, · Broad experience in other Palantir Foundry tools (e.g. Workshop, Quiver, etc.)
