Job description

Nature of Role: The Systems Engineer will serve as an expert for handling and inventory of electrical/electronic systems. This Engineering position will perform non routine and complex assignments involving responsibility for planning and conducting a complete inventory level assessment and maintenance of project items to a diverse set of projects, and acoustic sensors.. The candidate will play a critical role to support mission effectiveness. Responsibilities: include but are not limited to:

  • Logistic handling and inventory of electrical/electronic systems.
  • Receiving and organizing material for shipment
  • Will required physical and training in Forklift operations, 3K Forklift.
  • Developing, fabricating, delivering, updating, testing and maintaining special prototype and test hardware.
  • Integrating the prototype and testing hardware into laboratory and shipboard environments.
  • Updating and maintaining logistics and hardware documentation including Hardware Development Plans for changes incorporated through specification changes, testing, and conversion requirements.
  • Analyzing hardware faults, performance loss, degraded performance, intermittent operational anomalies, requirement deviations, and insufficient operability to determine the root cause, generating alternative solutions and producing recommended courses of action.

Requirements

Do you have experience in Technical writing within technology?, * Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline

  • Experience with systems engineering processes, including requirements development, verification, and validation
  • Familiarity with sonar systems, undersea warfare systems, or defense programs preferred
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and technical documentation skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, team-oriented environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
