Job description

Director of Accountability, Assessment, and Research; Senior Statistical Data Analyst, or as assigned, * Provide instructional staff and administrator evaluation committees with relevant evaluation data and analysis to support decision-making.

  • Perform specialized and technical work in the development, maintenance, and analysis of assessment and accountability databases.
  • Coordinate the programming and distribution of accurate reports for benchmark and state assessment data.
  • Calculate teacher and administrator Student Growth Rating components. Notify supervisor of escalations. Provide analytical decision support to address broad-based issues and concerns.
  • Provide graphs and tables in Excel and Word and other software as appropriate to support instructional decision making.
  • Help prepare all required evaluation reports and maintain appropriate historical records of student growth rating data for individual teachers and all schools at all levels.
  • Perform the collecting, organizing, analyzing, and interpreting of evaluation data and uses data to support instructional decisions.
  • Develop annual goals and objectives for personal professional development consistent with and in support of District goals and priorities.
  • Participate successfully in the training programs offered to increase skill and proficiency related to the assignment.
  • Prepare statistical and analytical reports for administrators as requested.
  • Respond to inquiries and concerns from administrators, personnel, and others concerning assigned area, and provide specialized information concerning the application of complex law, rules, and regulations in a timely manner, through effective communications.
  • Review current developments, literature and technical sources of information related to job responsibility.
  • Serve on District, state or community councils or committees as assigned or appropriate.
  • Help use benchmark assessments and other available data to construct models projecting school grades and supporting the strategic decisions of District Leadership.
  • Help conduct analysis of district data using descriptive and inferential statistics, such as regression, causal and factor analytic models and nonparametric techniques.
  • Keep supervisor informed of activities in area of assignment.
  • Attend state and regional meetings to keep well informed about current trends and practices.
  • Ensure adherence to good data security and safety standards.
  • Maintain confidentiality regarding school/workplace matters.
  • Model and maintain high ethical standards.
  • Represent the district in a positive and professional manner.
  • Demonstrate initiative in the performance of assigned responsibilities.
  • Follow federal and state laws as well as School Board policies, rules and regulations.
  • Demonstrate support for the school district and its goals and objectives.
  • Participate successfully in the training programs offered to increase skill and proficiency related to assignment.
  • Perform other tasks consistent with the goals and objectives of this position.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Light Work: Exerting up to pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently as needed to move objects.

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:

Salary and benefits shall be paid consistent with the District’s approved compensation plan. Length of the work year and hours of employment shall be those established by the District.

Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with provisions of the Board’s policy on evaluation of personnel.

Requirements

Do you have experience in Educational administrative software?, Do you have a Associate’s degree?, * Associate’s degree from an accredited educational institution.

  • Minimum of one (1) year of experience in data analysis, or related area., Intermediate knowledge of statistics. Knowledge of applicable laws, rules, policies and procedures Knowledge of school district data and data reporting systems, including, but not limited to, Focus, School City, Perform, and State assessment & accountability platforms. Ability to interact effectively with district and school personnel. Ability to work independently, using sound judgement and discretion. Ability to demonstrate written and oral communication skills. Ability to organize, prioritize, and execute projects. Ability to present data and materials to a variety of audiences. Intermediate Microsoft Excel user.
