Job description

This position coordinates and/or collects relevant financial, business and/or statistical data to prepare and interpret reports for management in an accurate and timely manner. This position provides maintenance/updates as necessary to ensure the integrity of assigned systems and databases, as well as department/function processes and standards are met in a timely and accurate manner.

Essential Functions

  • Reviews current documentation and assists establishing a baseline of the IT environment.

  • Performs application mapping services to define asset relationships and dependencies.

  • Captures business context information (i.e., SLA’s, business outage tolerances, etc.).

  • Develops transformational options and activities.

  • Performs a gap analysis and assessment to determine completeness of server, storage and network equipment information.

  • Develops the strategy, plan, sequencing, dependencies, timeline, and fallback strategies based on the association of physical and logical assets which support the Client’s business functions.

  • Decomposes computing environment into migration groups which represent the physical and logical association of assets in support of business functions.

  • Identifies migration windows and outage requirements that can be communicated to the business.

Requirements

Equivalent to a Bachelors Degree in a related field or equivalent combination of relevant education, technical, business and healthcare experience and a minimum of 3 years progressively responsible and varied work experience in a large, multi-faceted organization.

Experience with enterprise application development projects. Knowledge of project lifecycles, including design, analysis, testing and implementation. Understanding of multiple development platforms, languages and technologies. Experience in infrastructure and architecture designs. Knowledge of software development and various software development disciplines. Excellent problem solving skills. Skilled in use of monitoring software. Skilled in identifying and understanding business problems. Working knowledge of multiple programming languages, hardware environments, and programming logic. Requires communication and presentation skills to engage technical and non-technical audiences. Requires ability to communicate and interact across facilities and at various levels. As is typical in this industry, variable shifts and hours and carrying/responding to a pager may be required.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience using SSRS (SQL Server Reporting Services), SSAS (SQL Server Analysis Services), and Test Automation.
