Job description

DUTIES: The Engineer Business Intelligence 3 is responsible for designing and implementing robust business intelligence solutions to enhance the analytical capabilities of the organization. This role involves close collaboration with cross-functional teams to translate business needs into technical specifications, leading the development and deployment of BI data products, and ensuring the accuracy and effectiveness of data solutions. DUTIES: (1) Build advanced visualizations and analytics to drive strategic insights and organizational decision-making; (2) Lead the design and development of scalable BI architecture, including data models, Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) pipelines, and integrations; (3) Define KPIs and develop metrics frameworks in collaboration with business stakeholders; (4) Drive data governance, quality assurance, and consistency standards across reporting layers; (5) Guide tool evaluation, adoption, and implementation based on evolving business needs; (6) Resolve complex technical and data-related issues across multiple systems and lead incident resolution efforts; (7) Translate high level business requirements into technical specifications and project roadmaps; (8) Mentor Levels 1 and 2 BI Engineers, supporting skills development and project execution; (9) Manage timelines and resources for BI projects and contribute to cross-functional collaboration; (10) Lead and champion agile development methodologies to deliver data products iteratively; (11) Advocate for analytics best practices and data culture maturity across the organization; and (12) Perform such other related duties and responsibilities as assigned. [NOTE: This position requires some domestic travel generally to Sportsman’s Warehouse’s distribution center and stores, up to 25% of time.]

Requirements

Do you have experience in Schema design?, Do you have a Bachelor’s degree?, REQUIREMENTS: Education: Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Business Analytics, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience). Experience: 48 months of experience working as a Data Business Intelligence or Analytics-related role, or related occupation. License/Certification: Must have a valid SnowPro Core Certification to validate knowledge and ability to load/transform data, optimize warehouses, and manage concurrency. Other Requirements: (1) Demonstrable working knowledge of and expertise in: (a) SQL, (b) data modeling, (c) data warehousing, (d) databases, (e) BI Tools (Power BI, Tableau, Looker, etc.) and (f) cloud data platforms (Snowflake, BigQuery, RedShift, etc.); and (2) Demonstrated ability to mentor and lead peers, manage projects, and influence stakeholders.
