Job description

The position also focuses on automation, security, and operational support. Responsibilities include automating deployments and configuration with Ansible, managing secrets and access controls, administering Windows and Linux systems, maintaining monitoring and logging systems, supporting infrastructure incidents, documenting processes and system architecture, and may lead and direct the work of others., * Enterprise Infrastructure & Virtualization Engineering - Assists in the design, administration, and optimizes enterprise storage and virtualized environments across Azure, S3, Proxmox, VMware, OpenShift, and comparable platforms. Ensures high availability, scalability, and performance while implementing structured backup and disaster recovery strategies, including scheduled restore validation to maintain business continuity and recovery assurance aligned with defined RTO/RPO objectives.

  • Infrastructure as Code & Secure Lifecycle Management - Owns full infrastructure lifecycle management using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles. Leverages Terraform and Packer for automated provisioning and standardized builds, utilizing GitHub (or similar repositories) for version control, peer review, and CI/CD-driven deployments. Embeds security controls directly into infrastructure pipelines to ensure consistent, auditable, and compliant system builds.
  • Automation, Configuration & Secrets Management - Develops and maintains automation frameworks using Ansible Automation Platform to orchestrate deployments, configuration management, patching, and compliance enforcement. Implements secure credential and secrets management solutions such as HashiCorp Vault, promotes passwordless authentication (e.g., key-based SSH), enforces least-privilege access, and manages SSL/TLS certificate lifecycle processes.
  • Cross-Platform Systems Administration & Compliance - Provides administration and support across Windows and Linux environments with a strong emphasis on security hardening and standardized configuration baselines. Partners with security teams to remediate vulnerabilities, enforce CIS-aligned controls, maintain patch compliance targets, and eliminate legacy or insecure protocols.
  • Monitoring, Logging, Operational Support & Documentation Excellence - Oversees infrastructure monitoring, centralized logging, and audit trail integrity to ensure traceability of system and configuration changes. Conducts regular backup validation and recovery testing across hypervisor and storage platforms. Participates in a rotating infrastructure support model to resolve escalated service desk tickets, non-automated permissions issues, and infrastructure projects. Maintains comprehensive documentation including SOPs, architectural diagrams, automation workflows, and operational runbooks.

Requirements

Preferred Skills and Experience

1.Experience with automation tools such as Ansible, Terraform and Packer.

Monitor, support, and troubleshoot IT infrastructure, ensuring adherence to standards and service level objectives. 3. Analyze and prepare reports on performance metrics. 4. Implement and support robust and secure IT solution. 5. Draw on relationship and technical skills to act as technical liaison to internal and external stakeholders. 6. Serve as a technical liaison; support & collaborate with internal and external stakeholders. 7. Contribute to development & implementation of best practices. Required Education and Experience Bachelor’s Degree and four years of experience or equivalent education and experience. Skills and Abilities Developed understanding of computer architecture, operating systems, and data structures. Developed understanding of software engineering best practices. Developed analytical, critical thinking, research, and problem-solving skills. Developed interpersonal, written, communication, presentation, and organizational skills. Ability to write precise, detailed technical specs and documentation.
