Job description

The Telehealth Technology Support Specialist is responsible for assisting HQ2 staff, participants, and community members with the use of telehealth and related technologies. The position supports the implementation of the HQ2 Telehealth Prevention Program by providing technology orientation, training, troubleshooting, event support, and participant engagement activities., Telehealth Support

  • Assist staff and participants with accessing telehealth services and technology platforms.
  • Provide one-on-one and group technology orientation sessions.
  • Demonstrate use of telehealth applications, portals, tablets, smartphones, laptops, and related equipment.
  • Assist participants with account setup, login procedures, and basic navigation of telehealth systems.
  • Provide support for virtual and hybrid meetings, trainings, workshops, and prevention activities.

Staff Training

  • Train staff on telehealth systems, technology procedures, and participant support processes.
  • Assist staff with telehealth equipment operation and troubleshooting.
  • Support implementation of telehealth workflows and technology-related procedures.

Participant Training

  • Conduct telehealth orientation sessions for community members and participants.
  • Teach participants how to access telehealth appointments and educational resources.
  • Provide digital literacy support to individuals with limited technology experience.
  • Assist participants in accessing online surveys, prevention resources, and educational materials.

Community Outreach and Event Support

  • Attend and support the HQ2 Telehealth Prevention Event on Saturday, June 27, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
  • Demonstrate telehealth technology to participants and community members.
  • Provide hands-on technology instruction during outreach activities.
  • Assist with telehealth enrollment and technology engagement activities.
  • Represent HQ2 professionally during community events and outreach activities.

Technical Assistance

  • Troubleshoot basic technology issues involving laptops, tablets, smartphones, hotspots, printers, internet connectivity, and telehealth platforms.
  • Document technical assistance provided to staff and participants.
  • Maintain technical assistance logs and training records required by grant reporting requirements.
  • Assist with basic equipment setup and configuration.

Documentation and Reporting

  • Maintain accurate records of trainings, technical assistance, participant support, and outreach activities.
  • Submit required activity logs, timesheets, and documentation in a timely manner.
  • Assist with data collection and reporting activities related to telehealth implementation., This position includes office-based work, community outreach activities, participant training sessions, telehealth support activities, and attendance at community events. Work may be performed in person, remotely, or in hybrid settings.

Grant Funding Notice

This position is funded through the HQ2 Telehealth Prevention Program grant and is currently funded through June 30, 2026. Employment beyond this period is dependent upon continued funding availability, grant extensions, or organizational needs.

Expected Deliverables Prior to June 30, 2026

  • Attend and support the June 27, 2026 Telehealth Prevention Event.
  • Conduct telehealth technology training for staff.
  • Conduct telehealth technology orientation and training for participants.
  • Provide technical assistance to staff and community members.
  • Complete all required technical assistance logs and activity documentation.
  • Assist with telehealth implementation and grant deliverables as assigned.

Requirements

Do you have experience in Video conferencing systems operation?, Do you have a High school diploma or GED?, * High school diploma or GED required.

  • Associate degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Education, Communications, Health Technology, or related field preferred.
  • Minimum one year of experience providing technology support, training, customer service, or technical assistance.
  • Experience teaching or training individuals with varying levels of technology proficiency preferred.
  • Experience working with community-based organizations, healthcare organizations, educational institutions, or nonprofit programs preferred., * Strong computer skills.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
  • Familiarity with telehealth and videoconferencing platforms.
  • Ability to explain technical concepts in simple, understandable language.
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to maintain accurate documentation.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Google Meet, or similar platforms.
  • Experience supporting tablets, smartphones, laptops, and mobile applications.
  • Basic networking and internet troubleshooting skills.
  • Experience providing technology instruction to older adults or underserved populations.
  • Experience supporting hybrid meetings and events.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, and lift equipment weighing up to 25 pounds.
  • Ability to travel locally for outreach and community events.
  • Ability to transport and set up basic technology equipment when necessary.
