Job description

We are seeking experienced Senior Epic Beaker Application Analysts to support a large-scale laboratory systems implementation and optimization initiative. These roles will provide senior-level expertise across system analysis, design, configuration, testing, validation, implementation, and go-live support activities related to Epic Beaker and associated laboratory applications.

The selected consultants will collaborate with clinical, operational, and technical teams to ensure successful delivery of laboratory workflows, integrations, testing efforts, and production readiness activities., * Support the full application lifecycle including requirements gathering, analysis, design, configuration, testing, validation, implementation, and post-go-live support.

  • Partner with clinical, laboratory, operational, and technical stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into effective system solutions.
  • Configure and optimize Epic Beaker applications to support laboratory operations and workflows.
  • Perform system validation, data integrity reviews, and quality assurance activities.
  • Participate in testing efforts including Clinical Content Validation, Instrument Testing, Non-Instrument Mapped Record Testing, User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and defect resolution.
  • Support build change requests, workflow enhancements, and production readiness activities.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical and operational issues.
  • Maintain accurate documentation, testing records, and implementation deliverables.
  • Collaborate across multiple project teams while managing competing priorities and deadlines.

Epic Beaker Build Analyst Responsibilities

  • Configure and optimize Epic Beaker AP and CP modules.
  • Develop and execute build strategies for laboratory workflows and operational initiatives.
  • Translate business and clinical requirements into system configuration.
  • Support workflow optimization and design validation activities.
  • Lead build efforts aligned with operational testing and enhancement requests.

Epic Beaker Interface / Data Innovations Analyst Responsibilities

  • Support laboratory instrument interfaces and middleware integrations.
  • Validate interface functionality and data flow integrity between systems.
  • Configure and maintain Data Innovations (DI) rules as required.
  • Troubleshoot interface, middleware, and integration issues.
  • Partner with technical teams to resolve complex data exchange and connectivity challenges.

Epic Beaker Readiness / Flex Analyst Responsibilities

  • Support testing, validation, and go-live readiness activities.
  • Execute defect resolution, validation tasks, and change request support.
  • Address critical project issues and high-priority backlog items.
  • Provide flexible support across testing, implementation, and operational workstreams.
  • Assist with production readiness planning and execution.

Requirements

Do you have experience in User acceptance testing?, Do you have a Associate’s degree?, * Epic Beaker Certification (AP and/or CP strongly preferred).

  • Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of four (4) years of relevant experience, or Associate’s degree with a minimum of six (6) years of relevant experience.
  • Experience with systems analysis, application design, configuration, testing, validation, and implementation.
  • Experience gathering requirements and collaborating with business and technical stakeholders.
  • Experience supporting complex healthcare application implementations and integrations.
  • Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience supporting User Acceptance Testing (UAT), validation activities, and defect resolution., * Data Innovations (DI) experience and rule build expertise.
  • Laboratory instrument integration and middleware experience.
  • Experience supporting large-scale Epic implementations or optimization initiatives.
  • Familiarity with Epic build environments and code migration processes.
  • Experience supporting laboratory information systems and clinical workflows.
  • Previous experience working within highly matrixed healthcare organizations.

Benefits & conditions

$120 - $128 an hour - Contract
