Job description
- Developing and maintaining Linux-based software for HPC infrastructure
- Scripting in Bash and Python to automate system tasks
- Building and deploying containers with Docker, Podman, or containerd
- Automating deployments using Ansible and supporting CI/CD pipelines
- Debugging and troubleshooting issues in operational systems
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams using Git, JIRA, and Confluence
- Participating in Agile or Scaled Agile development sprints
Requirements
This position requires a current polygraph within the last 7 years.
You Will Excel in This Role If You Are:
- Experienced in designing and developing complex software systems
- Confident in debugging, testing, and documenting system components
- Skilled in containerization, automation, and CI/CD practices
- Comfortable working in Linux environments using the command line
- Knowledgeable in agile methodologies and collaborative toolsets
- Effective in translating system-level requirements into software solutions
- Capable of integrating and optimizing software within operational systems, * TS/SCI with Polygraph (within the last 7 years)
- Nine (9) years of software engineering experience OR Bachelor’s degree + seven (7) years of experience OR Master’s degree + five (5) years of experience
- Proficiency in Linux CLI, Python, and Bash scripting
- Experience with Rust or similar modern programming languages
- Familiarity with Docker, Podman, or containerd
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools such as GitLab CI or Jenkins
- Strong understanding of Git and version control workflows
Nice to Have:
- Familiarity with NetBox or other DCIM tools
- Experience with Splunk or other observability platforms
- Knowledge of Keycloak or similar IAM solutions
- Experience using HashiCorp Vault for secrets management
- Proficiency with the Atlassian Tool Suite (JIRA, Confluence)
- Familiarity with Agile, Scrum, or SAFe methodologies
