Job description
We are seeking an experienced Senior Database Engineer to design, build, and optimize data systems that power our healthcare analytics platform. The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in advanced relational database engineering combined with hands-on experience working with U.S. healthcare data standards and clinical data sources. In this role, you will own the ingestion, modeling, and performance of large-scale healthcare datasets, partnering closely with data engineering, analytics, and clinical informatics teams to deliver reliable, high-quality data products., 37793978. develop, and maintain advanced MySQL database schemas, queries, stored procedures, and indexing strategies optimized for large-scale healthcare workloads.
- and operate data ingestion pipelines that bring data in from external and third-party sources into the platform reliably and at scale.
- and normalize U.S. healthcare data, including HL7, C-CDA, claims data, and clinical data sourced from EMR/EHR systems.
- Python-based tooling and automation for data transformation, validation, and pipeline orchestration.

- with data engineering and analytics teams to model healthcare data for downstream reporting, analytics, and machine learning use cases.

Requirements
Mandatory Skills - Healthcare FHIR aws Healthlake datalake, 5. hands-on experience in MySQL, including schema design, complex query optimization, stored procedures, partitioning, and performance tuning.

experience handling U.S. healthcare data formats and standards, including HL7, C-CDA, claims data, and clinical data from EMR/EHR sources.
- in Python with strong skills in data manipulation, scripting, and building automated data workflows.
- ingesting data from external data sources, including building robust, scalable, and fault-tolerant pipelines.

understanding of healthcare data privacy and compliance considerations (e.g., HIPAA) when working with PHI.
- problem-solving and communication skills with the ability to work cross-functionally with engineering and clinical stakeholders.
Desired Qualifications
- with Databricks for building and managing data pipelines and large-scale data processing.
- with cloud data platforms and modern data lake / lakehouse architectures.
