Job description

The primary purpose of this role assists in translating business requirements and functional specifications into code modules and software solutions with guidance from senior colleagues by providing insight into recommendations for technical solutions that meet design and functional needs. Supports the development, configuration, or modification of integrated business and/or enterprise application solutions within various computing environments by designing and coding component-based applications using various programming languages; adhering to various software development methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall). Assists in the implementation and maintenance of business software solutions to ensure the successful deployment of released applications with guidance from senior colleagues as appropriate by assists in the packaging solutions for deployment. Supports systems integration testing (SIT) and user acceptance testing (UAT) with guidance from senior colleagues by providing insight into testing teams in order to define test plans. Participates in all software development lifecycle phases by applying an understanding of company methodology, policies, standards, and internal and external controls.

Requirements

3 years of professional experience working as a software engineer/application developer
Professional experience with React, Java, NoSQL, and Cloud infrastructure (GCP preferred)
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, CIS, or a related field (STEM)
Preferred:*Prior experience working within a test-driven development environment
Retail and/or supply chain domain knowledge is nice to have
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
