Job description
We are looking for a motivated and technically adept IT Helpdesk and Field Support Technician with experience working in a Managed Services Provider (MSP) environment. This role demands an individual who thrives in a fast-paced, customer-centric setting and is confident managing diverse IT infrastructures across multiple client environments. You will be responsible for both remote helpdesk and onsite support, as well as administration of cloud and on-premise systems, with a strong emphasis on Microsoft Azure, Office 365, and traditional infrastructure platforms.
Key ResponsibilitiesHelpdesk Support
- Serve as the first line of support for client end-users via phone, email, or ticketing platforms.
- Efficiently resolve hardware and software issues for desktops, laptops, and mobile devices.
- Accurately document incidents, service requests, and resolutions using professional ticketing tools.
Field Support
- Perform onsite troubleshooting, hardware installations, and IT setup for new offices and users.
- Support end-user technology and ensure proper connectivity, printing, and peripheral setup.
- Handle physical deployments and escalations at client sites.
MSP-Specific Tasks
- Manage simultaneous client environments with varied technology stacks.
- Provide remote and onsite support to small and mid-sized business clients with different infrastructure setups.
- Adhere to client-specific SLAs, maintain documentation, and follow established processes for escalation, billing, and service delivery.
- Assist with client onboarding, systems audits, and periodic health checks.
Cloud and Infrastructure Support
- Administer Azure Active Directory, Microsoft Intune, and other Microsoft cloud-based services.
- Maintain and support Office 365 environments including Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, and OneDrive.
- Configure and manage on-premise Windows Server, Active Directory, Group Policy, file and print services, and hybrid Exchange deployments.
- Support network components such as switches, firewalls, VPNs, and Wi-Fi for multiple client setups.
Requirements
Do you have experience in Windows?, * 5+ years in IT support, with 2+ years in a Managed Services Provider (MSP) environment.
- Strong technical background with Microsoft Azure, Office 365, and Windows-based infrastructures.
- Proven ability to handle multiple clients, environments, and technologies simultaneously.
- Familiar with RMM tools (e.g., ConnectWise, Datto, NinjaOne) and PSA systems.
- Working knowledge of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, VPN).
- Proficient in PowerShell and other scripting tools for automation and remote administration.
- Excellent communication skills and a client-first attitude.
Preferred Qualifications
- Microsoft certifications (e.g., AZ-104, MS-900, MD-101).
- CompTIA certifications (e.g., A+, Network+, Security+).
- Experience with remote deployment tools and endpoint management (Autopilot, SCCM, Intune).
- ITIL familiarity or certification is a plus., * Azure: 2 years (Preferred)
