Job description
- Design, develop, test, and document software capabilities that support classification marking and access-control validation.
- Extend and customize tools for classification string validation, comparison, and enforcement.
- Work with a team of developers to implement new features for current and M365-based classification tools.
- Participate fully in requirements elicitation, technical discussions, and decision-making throughout the software lifecycle.
- Collaborate closely in an established team environment and work directly with customers when needed
- Contribute to the creation and execution of functional tests, unit tests, and code reviews.
- Troubleshoot issues and support continuous improvement of development processes and coding standards.
Requirements
- TS/SCI clearance with polygraph
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field (or 4 years of additional software engineering experience in lieu of degree, totaling 7 years)
- 3+ years of software engineering experience
- Strong working knowledge of JavaScript/DOM, TypeScript, Node.js/npm
- Experience with AWS services and dashboards
- Hands-on experience using Docker (including converting applications to Docker images)
- Experience with Git (command line), GitLab CI, and GitLab pipelines
- Familiarity with Jest and Cypress
- Experience developing unit and functional tests
- Experience conducting code reviews
- Ability to work directly with customers and within established team processes
- Strong troubleshooting skills
- Ability to follow coding standards and team policies
Desired
- Experience gathering, analyzing, and capturing customer requirements
- Ability to contribute to requirements for new features and defect fixes
- Experience creating and expanding unit tests
- Knowledge of the Microsoft Office JavaScript API
- Ability to triage, track, and respond to user questions and issues
- Experience testing new software releases and merge requests
- Experience collaborating with developers, contractors, and Government stakeholders
- Ability to contribute to high-level documentation and user guides
- Strong time-management skills

The proposed salary range for this position is: $79,400 - $162,700
