Job description

Spearman ISD is in search of a Technology Director. The position will pay an additional $3,000 for Master degree. District pays $466 per month towards applicants health insurance.

Primary Purpose:

Responsible for the overall management of the Information Technology Department and strategic planning of technology systems districtwide. Provide expertise and direction in the development, deployment, and use of information technology in the district.

Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in computer science or related field

Special Knowledge/Skills:

Knowledge of computer network, hardware, and software applications Knowledge of computer applications development and implementation Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills

Knowledge of Google Admin Console

Knowledge of curriculum and technology training used in instructional setting

Knowledge of bidding, purchasing, and contracting procedures

Knowledgeable of the responsibilities and duties of a school Cybersecurity Coordinator

Knowledgeable of the responsibilities and duties of a district AI Risk Officer

Experience:

1-2 years of experience in supervision and management of an information systems department

Responsibilities & Duties:

  • Ability to manage budget and personnel; coordinate district function; implement policy and procedure
  • Ability to manage and maintain device and software inventory
  • Ability to coordinate and collaborate with district Administation and Directors
  • Ability to develop and deliver technology training to adult learners
  • Ability to interpret data and evaluate instructional programs and teaching effectiveness
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Implement the policies established by federal and state law, State Board of Education rule, and local board policy in the area of information management and technology
  • Follow district safety protocols and emergency procedures
