Job description

Under the general supervision of the IT Director/Manager, provides technical assistance in the use of administrative computing systems including Windows Server Systems, IT infrastructures, as well as various reports to multi-cultural groups in multi-language (Korean). The IT Systems Engineer works will need to apply a high degree of expertise and knowledge of IT systems while also providing technical assistance as described., 1. Assists in writing reports to various groups in multi-language (English/Korean), writing supporting documentation and implementing production procedures.

  1. Assists project teams in providing systems analysis and coordination in support of major system implementation.
  2. Assists with the administrative jobs of the Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) systems running on Oracle database.
  3. Assists in reviewing, testing, troubleshooting and providing solutions for Windows server systems, along with other administrative support products or enhancements; writes summaries and reports recommendations.
  4. Provides system support for IT Infrastructure.
  5. Provide clear and professional verbal, written, and electronic communications amongst IT members, IT systems vendors, and the end-user community. This includes preparing routine status reports, procedural guides, technical advice, and recommendations.
  6. Participate as an active IT team member to promote system lifecycle support. This includes installation, maintenance, upgrading, and retiring enterprise data systems.
  7. Meet and exceed end-user service requirements for maximum performance, stability, and reliability by daily monitoring and tuning existing Enterprise systems.
  8. Participate in designing, creating, and managing approved security definitions, handling user account set-up, and system accounts within the Windows Server Active Directory.
  9. Participate in designing, creating, and managing system wide application security, back-up and recovery strategies. Oversee and review the successful ongoing execution of security, back-up and recovery processes. Monitor the system for application and operating system security breaches.
  10. Provide recommendations for hardware and software as requested. This will be achieved by gathering end-user requirements, analyzing existing systems, researching vendor specifications, and then reporting and presenting to IT team members as appropriate for further review.
  11. Configure and support PC computers in a networked environment.
  12. Provide basic instruction to end user on use of office applications.
  13. Provide periodical helpdesk service to end users.
  14. Prioritize troubleshooting tickets from end users
  15. Provide administration in Active Directory
  16. Performs other related duties as required.

Requirements

  1. Bachelor’s degree in computer science or business-related field and minimum of 5 years of computer related job experience.
  2. Highly developed interpersonal skills including ability to work cooperatively and effectively in a team environment.
  3. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  4. High level of motivation, initiative and responsibility.
  5. Ability to work independently in a high-paced, high-pressured environment., 1. Experience working in higher education environment.
  6. Experience working in global scale organization.
  7. Knowledge of project management techniques and experience working with diverse groups in a project team setting.
  8. Ability of Korean reading and writing.
