SQL Business Intelligence (BI) Developer

• Collaborate with analysts and department leaders to design, build and customize reports and reporting packages using SQL Server, SSRS, and Power BI
• Create processes and tools to monitor and improve data quality and system stability
• Automate manual data processes, optimize user queries, and facilitate data research and understanding while partnering with analysts and business specialists
• Participate in the development of new ETL processes to make new and existing data sources readily available to statisticians, analysts, applications, and outside business partners using SQL Server and SSIS

Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Business, Economics, Finance, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Accounting, or a related field., * Proficiency in SQL including Joins, Inserts, Updates, Creates, Alters, Subqueries, Pivots, Loops, Cases, and basic data transformation functions. Experience in SQL Server and SSIS a plus

• Knowledge of relational database management systems required. SQL Server or newer preferred
• Experience building graphs and charts to communicate business information. SSRS, Power BI and/or Tableau experience is a plus
• Exceptionally self-motivated, self-directed, and able to maintain focus in a rapidly changing environment
• Highly organized and able to communicate in detail as well as abstractions
• Financial Services and process improvement experience a plus
• Preferential consideration given to candidates with experience programming in batch (ex. PowerShell, DOS, [K]SH), compiled (ex. C#, Java, Python, VB[A]), and/or client/server (ex. PHP, ASP, VBScript, JavaScript) technologies, as will experience with un- or semi-structured data (ex. Xproc, Hadoop, Hive, Pig)
