Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree and 4+ years of relevant GIS experience\n
  • Ability to obtain a DoD SECRET Security Clearance\n
  • Strong proficiency with ArcGIS Pro (primary) or similar GIS platforms\n
  • Experience working with multi-source geospatial datasets (e.g., OSM or similar)\n
  • Understanding of data standardization, QA/QC, and production workflows\n
  • Ability to work independently on moderately complex assignments\n, n \n

  • Experience coordinating work across a team or supporting shared datasets\n
  • Python or scripting experience for workflow automation\n
  • Familiarity with 3D GIS, modeling, or simulation environments\n
  • Experience with scripting or automated geospatial data workflows\n
  • Familiarity with open-source GIS tools (e.g., QGIS)\n

Everything we do is built on a commitment to do the right thing for our customers, our people, and our community.\n \n \nIf this sounds like an environment where you can thrive, keep reading!\n \n \nLeidos is seeking a Geospatial Information Systems (GIS) Analyst to support geospatial data production and coordinate database-level workflows for synthetic environment generation.\n \n \nIn this role, you will work with multiple geospatial data sources (e.g., OpenStreetMap, AGC, Overture) to produce standardized 2D datasets that feed into 3D terrain generation pipelines. These datasets directly support simulation, training, and mission planning environments. You will also take ownership of assigned geospatial databases-coordinating tasking, ensuring data quality, and supporting overall production efforts.\n \n \nWhat You Can Expect\n \n \n

  • Own and coordinate assigned geospatial databases and associated workflows\n
  • Perform advanced data cleaning, integration, and standardization using ArcGIS Pro\n
  • Validate and enforce data quality, consistency, and schema requirements\n
  • Coordinate tasking across team members supporting the database\n
  • Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve data inconsistencies across multiple sources\n
  • Ensure datasets meet requirements for downstream 3D environment generation\n
  • Provide status updates and communicate progress to team leadership\n
  • Collaborate with project managers and cross-functional teams to meet objectives\n
  • Provide guidance and support to junior analysts as needed\n
  • Analyze and resolve data inconsistencies across multiple geospatial sources to ensure accuracy and usability\n
