Job description

SELLING POINTS: Subject Matter Expert - Jamf pro-environment, scripting in and jamf and API jamf Connect jamf protect jamf infrastructure manager jamf ADC5 connect integrations with SSO LDAP Cloud identity providers SMTD apple MacOS devops entra azure ad

WORK TO BE PERFORMED:

o Serve as primary Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Jamf Pro; own design, deployment, and lifecycle management of the Jamf environment.

o Document Jamf architecture and network security flows.

o Ensure user requirements are documented and traceable to implemented solutions.

o Lead Phase 1 deployment of Jamf-managed MacBook devices as part of the VDI replacement initiative.

o Produce weekly endpoint performance reports covering device health, patch compliance, software utilization, and user behavior trends.

o Provide Tier 3 support for Jamf Pro and escalate issues as needed.

o Collaborate with the Help Desk to automate solutions and create self-service quick fixes.

o Package and deploy applications to macOS endpoints using Jamf Pro.

o Configure and administer Jamf Connect, Jamf Protect, Jamf Infrastructure Manager, and Jamf ADCS Connect.

o Manage Jamf integrations with SSO, LDAP, Cloud Identity Providers, and SMTP.

o Build custom scripts and solutions to manage all MacBook devices.

o Proactively maintain macOS, Jamf, and software deployment updates including vulnerability remediation.

o Troubleshoot application installation, performance, and runtime issues within the macOS environment.

o Drive meetings with Business, IT, and Security Leaders to develop requirements and communicate environmental changes.

o Drive automation of processes in the end user experience space.

o Document changes, policies, procedures, and configurations.

o Provide cross-training and mentoring to team members.

o Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

o Excellent presentation, written, and verbal communication skills.

o Strong interpersonal, leadership, and mentoring skills.

o Solution-oriented problem-solving approach. Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

o Self-starter who thrives with significant autonomy.

Technical Skills:

o Bash scripting and Jamf API experience required.

o In-depth knowledge of Jamf Pro including Jamf Connect, Jamf Protect, Jamf Infrastructure Manager, Jamf ADCS Connect, and integrations with SSO, LDAP, Cloud Identity Providers, and SMTP.

o Up-to-date knowledge of Apple macOS best practices.

o 3+ years managing macOS endpoints in an enterprise environment using Jamf Pro.

o Experience deploying and packaging applications for macOS endpoints.

o Desktop application troubleshooting on macOS.

o Experience operating in a DevOps culture.

o Microsoft Entra (Azure AD) experience preferred.

Education and Experience:

o Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or related degree, or equivalent experience.

o 5+ years of experience in a desktop engineering or end user experience role.

o 3+ years of experience with Jamf Pro in an enterprise environment., o Jamf 400 Certification preferred.
