Job description

Provides technical and functional support for database monitoring, database installation, database configuration, database administration, troubleshooting techniques, performance tuning and application system updates.
Works as a team member with senior technical staff on large, complex technical projects.
Completes assigned technical projects on time (e.g., analysis, designing, development, implementation, testing, monitoring, maintenance, production support, documentation, etc.).
Analyzes problems, develops and implements solutions.
Resolves escalated complex issues within the established timeframes while providing quality customer service.
Proactively monitors and controls all directives to ensure quality and efficiency.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in a Computer Science / MIS field.
Oracle DBA administration and/or programming experience.
Knowledge of Oracle 11g/12c
Experience with Linux.
Experience with SQL and PL/SQL
Experience with Unix shell scripting.
Oracle Certified Professional preferred.
Experience with Oracle Streams.
Enterprise storage experience like NetApp.
Experience with Oracle Enterprise Grid Control 12c
Ability to follow strict procedures and be disciplined in installation, documentation, event handling, and change control.
Ability to adapt to changing goals based on customer demands and market conditions.
Ability to learn new technologies quickly and have excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Ability to build positive working relationships with internal and external users and customers.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
