Job description

Ataero is seeking a Computer Systems Analyst (Network Systems Administrator) to support WOLF and USSOCOM Enterprise Network operations. The selected candidate will provide installation, configuration, administration, monitoring, troubleshooting, and sustainment support for mission-critical communications and information technology systems supporting Special Operations Forces (SOF) worldwide.

The ideal candidate possesses strong systems administration, communications, and network engineering experience supporting military communications systems, enterprise networks, and operational mission environments. This position directly supports the architecture, operations, maintenance, and modernization of communications technologies supporting globally distributed SOF operations.

Responsibilities

  • Install, configure, administer, monitor, and maintain IT automation equipment and enterprise communications systems.
  • Support baseline imaging, patch management, software deployment, performance optimization, and system upgrades.
  • Assist with the integration of military communications systems into the USSOCOM operational architecture.
  • Conduct research, analysis, and technical evaluations supporting implementation and sustainment of SOF communications capabilities.
  • Identify and develop solutions supporting communications operations in austere and expeditionary environments.
  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve hardware, software, network, and communications system issues.
  • Support systems hosting operational databases, software configuration control, and system interfaces.
  • Maintain file servers, network access controls, system documentation, and performance monitoring activities.
  • Coordinate with software developers, engineers, and technical teams to resolve system deficiencies and improve functionality.
  • Install operating systems, software updates, security patches, and hardware upgrades.
  • Configure and optimize server, workstation, and network infrastructure.
  • Perform system backup, restoration, disaster recovery, and continuity of operations activities.
  • Maintain operational records, technical documentation, and system performance reports.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related technical discipline.
  • Minimum 2-4 years of experience supporting network systems administration, systems engineering, or enterprise communications environments.
  • Experience supporting military, Special Operations Forces (SOF), or Department of Defense communications systems.
  • Experience performing requirements analysis, systems integration, and technical evaluations.
  • Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Active TS/SCI clearance required.

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience supporting USSOCOM or Special Operations communications programs.
  • Understanding of Systems Engineering principles and methodologies.
  • Familiarity with cybersecurity frameworks, security controls, and information assurance requirements.
  • Experience supporting SCIF or secure facility network environments.
  • Familiarity with Commercial Solutions for Classified (CSfC) and Type 1 encryption technologies.
  • Industry certifications such as Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE), Microsoft Certified Azure Administrator (MCA), VMware, Security+, or equivalent.
  • Experience supporting geographically dispersed organizations and remote operational environments.

  • Strong understanding of enterprise networking, systems administration, and communications infrastructure.
  • Ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues in mission-critical environments.
  • Excellent documentation, organizational, and customer service skills.
  • Ability to function independently and within multidisciplinary technical teams.
  • Ability to support dynamic operational requirements and rapidly changing mission priorities.
  • Strong time management and prioritization skills., * Ability to maintain eligibility for access to classified systems, facilities, and information.
