Job description
JLGOV is seeking a Cybersecurity Engineer to support enterprise cybersecurity operations, security engineering, continuous monitoring, and risk mitigation activities. The selected candidate will help implement and maintain security controls across cloud, network, endpoint, and identity environments while supporting Zero Trust principles and overall cybersecurity posture. This is a hybrid job opportunity, and you must be willing to go on-site when requested. Location and work arrangement will be determined by customer requirements. (This should be understood and acknowledged). Please read all details!, * Implement, maintain, and optimize enterprise security controls aligned with NIST standards and Zero Trust Architecture principles.
- Support identity and access management, including authentication, authorization, least-privilege access, RBAC, PAM, and MFA solutions.
- Perform security monitoring, threat detection, incident response, vulnerability management, and remediation activities using enterprise security tools.
- Secure cloud, hybrid, and on-premises environments through system hardening, configuration management, patch management, and security best practices.
- Configure and maintain logging, monitoring, auditing, and continuous monitoring capabilities to support compliance and operational visibility.
- Develop and maintain cybersecurity documentation, security baselines, SOPs, asset inventories, and audit-ready records.
- Conduct risk analysis, root cause analysis, and support corrective actions to improve enterprise security posture.
- Collaborate with network, cloud, application, and engineering teams to resolve security issues and support mission requirements.

Requirements
Do you have experience in Network architecture?, Do you have a Bachelor’s degree?, * Preferred Education: Bachelor’s degree in an IT-related field (Required), Preferred Certifications: CISSP or higher, and a minimum of 8 years of experience
