This is a full-time, exempt (salaried) position assigned to a First Shift schedule, with standard business hours of Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. in your time zone.   • Drive incident remediation and implement corrective action plans following outages., Labcorp genetics (formerly Invitae) is looking for a seasoned Senior Engineering Manager to lead the newly formed Patient & Provider Experiences team. This team owns the experiences on invitae.com that patients and providers rely on. You’ll guide engineers across both frontend and backend systems so comfort and experience in both is essential. A key strategic priority will be identifying the best elements of Invitae’s specialty testing experiences and reshaping them to serve all Labcorp customers.

This is a foundational leadership role. You’ll shape the team’s culture, technical direction, and operating rhythm from the ground up. The ideal candidate thrives in ambiguity, brings clarity to complex cross-functional initiatives, and is energized by the opportunity to improve how patients and providers interact with critical healthcare services.

This person would own the software development lifecycle for a set of software systems including operational and production support responsibilities. They would manage a team of software engineers and provide coaching, mentorship, career development, architectural guidance, and support to their team.

Requirements

  • Proven track record of delivering complex technical projects with measurable business impact.
  • 8 years of experience with system design, architecture, and cross-functional trade-offs.
  • 5 years of experience driving organizational change and influencing outcomes across teams.
  • 2 or more years of experience leading fully remote, geographically distributed engineering teams.
  • 2 or more years of experience with cloud infrastructure (preferably AWS).
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Any equivalent combination of training, education, and experience that provides the required skills, knowledge and abilities, with a minimum of 9 years of experience in lieu of a Bachelor’s degree.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 2 or more years of experience in the healthcare industry or other highly regulated industries
  • 2 or more years of experience with Python, TypeScript, Kotlin, or similar languages.

Benefits & conditions

Pay Range: $180,000.00 - $220,000.00 a year

All job offers will be based on a candidate’s skills and prior relevant experience, applicable degrees / certifications, as well as internal equity and market data. The position is also eligible for an annual bonus under the Labcorp Bonus Plan. Bonuses are payable based on corporate and/or business segment performance and are subject to individual performance modifiers.

Benefits: Employees regularly scheduled to work 20 or more hours per week are eligible for comprehensive benefits including: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, STD/LTD, 401(k), Paid Time Off (PTO) or Flexible Time Off (FTO), Tuition Reimbursement and Employee Stock Purchase Plan. Employees regularly scheduled to work less than 20 hours, Casual, Intern, and Temporary employees are only eligible to participate in the 401(k) Plan. Employees who are regularly scheduled to work a 7 on 7 off schedule are eligible to receive all the foregoing benefits except PTO or FTO.
