Job description

The Senior Databricks Developer will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable data solutions using Databricks, Snowflake, Oracle, and Azure-native technologies. This role requires strong hands-on experience with data engineering, cloud data platforms, ETL/ELT development, and CI/CD processes. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of Databricks architecture and data pipeline development while collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality data solutions., * Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines and data integration solutions using Databricks.

  • Build and optimize ETL/ELT processes supporting enterprise analytics and reporting initiatives.
  • Develop and maintain data transformations using Databricks, Spark, SQL, and related technologies.
  • Integrate and manage data across Snowflake, Oracle, and cloud-based data platforms.
  • Implement CI/CD processes and deployment automation using Azure Pipelines.
  • Optimize data processing performance, scalability, and reliability across cloud environments.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders, architects, and engineering teams to translate requirements into technical solutions.
  • Support data validation, troubleshooting, testing, and production support activities.
  • Participate in architecture discussions and contribute to best practices for cloud data engineering.
  • Ensure compliance with data governance, security, and quality standards.
  • Document technical solutions, processes, and development standards.

Requirements

Do you have experience in Technical writing?, Do you have a High school diploma or GED?, * High school diploma or GED required.

  • 6-9+ years of experience in data engineering, data development, or cloud data platform development.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Databricks development and administration.
  • Experience building and optimizing large-scale data pipelines and ETL/ELT processes.
  • Strong SQL development skills.
  • Experience working with Oracle databases and enterprise data environments.
  • Experience with Snowflake data warehousing solutions.
  • Experience implementing CI/CD processes using Azure Pipelines.
  • Strong understanding of cloud-based data architecture and distributed data processing.
  • Experience troubleshooting and optimizing performance of complex data workflows.
  • Strong communication, documentation, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field.
  • Experience with Python, PySpark, Spark SQL, or related data engineering technologies.
  • Experience with Azure cloud services and cloud-native data solutions.
  • Familiarity with data governance, security, and compliance best practices.
  • Experience working within Agile delivery environments.
  • Experience supporting enterprise-scale analytics and reporting platforms.
  • Databricks certifications preferred., * Bachelor’s (Preferred), * Databricks engineering: 6 years (Required)
