Systems Engineer

JOB DESCRIPTION: Primary responsibilities will include: Staying abreast of regional customer activity, local market trends and technology developments Help Sales identify prospective customers and pursue design-ins Pre-sales activities including presentations, architecture/design reviews, competitive analysis Provide customer support for Company’s hardware and software products Post-sales activities including assisting in board debug and software integration Periodic projects to include application notes, feedback to Marketing and Engineering on field related issues, preparing and giving training materials Develop and release to production reference designs illustrating use of products Benchmark testing, performance measurement and system verification Preparing technical documents, such as user notes, guidelines or articles Situational analysis, competitive analysis Maintain bug-tracking database and FAQ list for website Identify opportunities and develop product improvements, enhancements

REQUIRED SKILLS: 3 to 5 years software design and development experience in embedded systems for communications, including 1-2 years in hardware or firmware design and 1-2 years in symmetrical multiprocessing. Experience with microprocessor and/or peripheral controller hardware and firmware designs Experience in programming symmetrical multiprocessing systems Knowledge of C++/C and Assembly language Knowledge in general tools (compilers, debuggers) for embedded processors Strong communications skills, ability to work closely with customers/engineers, HW and SW Experience with Physical Layer and Link Layer communication protocols a plus Willingness to travel (30% -60%).
