Job description

We are seeking a highly experienced Lead Java Backend Developer (Contractor) to join our team in New York. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in building and maintaining scalable microservices using Spring Boot, and must have handled applications involving millions of transactions. This is a hands-on technical leadership role, suited for someone with a deep understanding of high-performance backend systems and team guidance.

Requirements

12-16 years of experience in Java backend development.

Strong expertise in Spring Boot, Microservices architecture, and RESTful API design.

Solid experience with Junit and test-driven development.

Proven background in handling applications processing millions of transactions daily.

Experience with caching, queuing, and database optimization techniques.

Familiarity with CI/CD, Git, and containerization tools (Docker/Kubernetes).
