Job description

The Junior Software Developer will be joining a dynamic team of experienced developers who specialize in creating cloud-based solutions that help our clients solve complex population health challenges. As a Junior Software Developer, you will be responsible for supporting our software development team in all aspects of the development, testing and implementation of our products.

People.Health solutions support public health initiatives for the City of Detroit, the City of New York, the State of Michigan (MDHHS), US Department of Defense Health Agency, and many other local, state and federal organizations that are responsible for managing the health of large populations.

Clients come to People.Health in need of robust, nimble solutions that promote data interoperability, operational efficiency, secure data collection, and improved communication with the populations that they serve.

We are looking for multiple team members who are comfortable working in a fast-paced business environment. Depending on your preferences and expertise, you will assist with the front-end, back-end, or full stack design and development of product features, building scale, efficiency, and differentiated customer experiences.   • Using various methodologies to develop technical solutions to challenging requirements with AWS, Google Cloud, React etc.
  • Developing, maintaining and supporting programs/tools for clients
  • Designing, coding, testing, and documenting software
  • Analyzing performance, diagnosing and resolving bugs
  • Providing support to clients, help/troubleshoot

Preferred Knowledge Qualifications

  • AWS Cloud experience/certification : RedShift, AWS Cloud Watch, AWS S3 Storage, AWS EC2 Instances, AWS Lambda, EC2, * Google Cloud experience/certification: BigQuery, GCP Pub / Sub, GCP Cloud Functions, GCP AppEngine and application scaling, Cloud monitoring
  • Familiarity with Gitlab
  • Python
  • .NET
  • React, AngularJS, Typescript

Other Requirements

  • Due to the requirements of our government clients, background check and other similar security reviews are required

Pay: From $70,000.00 per year

Requirements

Do you have experience in Version control?, Do you have a Bachelor’s degree in computer science?, * Bachelor’s degree in computer science

  • Knowledge of: HTML, SQL, Python, Node.js, React.js, Express.js, Git
  • Basic programming experience
  • Knowledge of databases and operating systems
  • Have knowledge of source code management tools in a shared code environment
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Have the ability to work under pressure with strict timelines
  • Passionate for technology, software, and data
  • Must be a US Citizen
