Cloud Engineer

We are seeking a dynamic and innovative Cloud Engineer to join our technology team and drive the development, deployment, and management of cloud-based solutions. As a Cloud Engineer, you will be instrumental in designing robust cloud environments, implementing automation strategies, and ensuring seamless integration across multiple platforms. Your expertise will help accelerate our digital transformation initiatives and deliver reliable, secure, and efficient cloud services to support our business objectives., * Design, develop, and maintain cloud infrastructure using platforms such as AWS, Google Cloud Platform, Azure, Rackspace, or OpenStack to ensure high availability and scalability.

• Implement and manage virtualization technologies including VMware, Docker, Kubernetes, and Citrix to optimize resource utilization.
• Develop automation scripts and configuration management using tools like Terraform, Ansible, Puppet, Chef, PowerShell, Bash scripting, and Shell Scripting to streamline deployment processes.
• Build and manage web services and APIs utilizing RESTful API standards for seamless integration across applications.
• Ensure system security through system hardening practices, network security configurations such as VPNs, and adherence to best practices in system management.
• Collaborate with development teams employing Agile methodologies to support continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines using Jenkins or similar tools.
• Monitor cloud environments for performance issues or security vulnerabilities; perform troubleshooting and resolve incidents promptly.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation of cloud architecture designs, deployment procedures, and operational workflows.
• Support application development efforts by integrating cloud services with microservices architectures using Kubernetes or Docker containers.

Do you have experience in Windows?, * Proven experience working with cloud computing platforms such as AWS (Amazon Web Services), Google Cloud Platform, Azure or Rackspace.

• Strong background in virtualization technologies including VMware and OpenStack.
• Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform or CloudFormation for automated provisioning of resources.
• Familiarity with containerization tools such as Docker and orchestration platforms like Kubernetes or OpenShift.
• Knowledge of operating systems including Linux (Ubuntu, CentOS) and Windows Server environments.
• Experience with scripting languages such as Python, PowerShell, Bash or Shell Scripting for automation tasks.
• Understanding of service-oriented architecture (SOA), web services (RESTful APIs), SaaS (Software as a Service), PaaS (Platform as a Service), IaaS (Infrastructure as a Service), and microservices architecture principles.
• Familiarity with databases including MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server or NoSQL options like MongoDB.
• Experience working within Agile development frameworks supporting DevOps practices including CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins or similar tools.
• Knowledge of network security protocols including VPNs and best practices for system hardening in cloud environments.
