Job description

  • Sit with customer operations during pre-sale and early pilots. Map how their permitting work really happens, not the demo version.
  • Prototype against the customer’s real data and integrations (ServiceTitan, Salesforce, Procore, and others) during the pilot. Ship a working slice that earns the deal.
  • Turn the messy, customer-specific rules you find into reusable product, not one-off code.
  • Build production feedback loops. Confidence scores, human overrides, and downstream metrics flow back into the product.
  • Build reusable integration pieces. What you build for the first customer becomes a setting the next customer can turn on.
  • Champion the customer perspective inside the company. Bring what you learn back to product, design, and engineering.
  • Work cross-functionally to help shape the product roadmap.

Requirements

Do you have experience in Systems integration?, * Strong software engineer who likes being in front of customers. You write code and you talk to people.

  • Comfortable owning an integration end to end. APIs, data models, backend, and enough frontend to ship a working demo.
  • Experience prototyping on messy, real-world data and systems. Work with CRMs, ERPs, or field-ops tools like ServiceTitan, Salesforce, or Procore is a plus.
  • Track record of shipping production systems and making smart trade-offs for speed, reliability, and scale.
  • You turn one-off custom work into reusable product. You want your work to disappear into the platform.
  • Startup or fast-moving team experience preferred.
  • Construction or permitting background is a nice-to-have, not required.

About the company

PermitFlow is redefining how America builds. We’re an applied AI company serving the nation’s builders, tackling one of the largest information challenges in the economy: understanding what can be built, where, and how. Our AI agent workforce helps the fastest-growing construction companies navigate everything from permitting and licensing to inspections and project closeouts - accelerating housing, clean-energy, and infrastructure development across the country.

Despite being a $1.6T industry, construction still suffers from massive delays, wasted capital, and lost opportunity. PermitFlow has already delivered unprecedented speed, accuracy, and visibility to over $20B in development, helping contractors reduce compliance time, de-risk projects, and scale with confidence.

As the U.S. enters a new capex supercycle across data centers, factories, housing, and renewables, joining PermitFlow means building the AI infrastructure at the core of every construction project driving the next wave of reindustrialization.

We’ve raised over $90M, most recently completing our Series B, from top-tier investors including Accel, Kleiner Perkins, Initialized, Y Combinator, Felicis, and Altos Ventures, with backing from leaders at OpenAI, Google, Procore, ServiceTitan, Zillow, PlanGrid, and Uber.
