Blockchain Integration Architect

Seeking an experienced Blockchain & AI Architect for a 90-120 day engagement to evaluate and implement selective blockchain enhancements on an existing real estate SaaS platform.

We are not building a Web3, NFT, or cryptocurrency product. Our goal is to strategically integrate blockchain and AI where we aim to provide measurable business value, such as immutable transaction records, document verification, workflow automation, audit trails, compliance, and intelligent buyer guidance.

The ideal candidate can assess our current architecture, identify practical use cases, define technical requirements, and create a scalable implementation roadmap that aligns with our existing platform and business objectives.

Duties

• Review and evaluate the existing platform architecture, infrastructure, workflows, and transaction lifecycle.
• Review and evaluate proposed blockchain and AI enhancements, validate technical feasibility, identify implementation requirements, and recommend practical solutions that align with business objectives, platform architecture, scalability requirements, cost considerations and measurable business outcomes.
• Review and evaluate proposed blockchain enhancements and identify additional opportunities where blockchain may improve:
• transaction validation,
• auditability,
• document verification,
• compliance tracking,
• timestamping,
• workflow transparency,
• and event traceability.
• Define a recommended blockchain strategy, including evaluation of:
• public,
• private,
• consortium,
• or hybrid blockchain architectures.
• Recommend appropriate blockchain platforms, frameworks, and supporting technologies based on business requirements, scalability, security, cost, and operational complexity.
• Design a high-level architecture for integrating blockchain into an existing SaaS platform without disrupting current functionality.
• Review and evaluate proposed AI-driven workflow enhancements, and identify additional opportunities where appropriate, including:
• buyer guidance,
• risk identification,
• workflow automation,
• milestone monitoring,
• compliance reminders,
• and transaction support.
• Provide recommendations regarding AI governance, human oversight, risk mitigation, and the appropriate use of AI within compliance-sensitive workflows.
• Collaborate with leadership and technical team to translate business objectives into technical requirements.
• Develop implementation roadmaps, technical specifications, and phased deployment recommendations.
• Evaluate infrastructure requirements, security considerations, and scalability implications of proposed solutions.
• Provide guidance regarding API integrations, data flows, event logging, document management systems, and third-party services.
• Assist in establishing best practices for governance, security, auditability, and long-term maintainability.
• Present recommendations, architecture diagrams, implementation plans, and supporting documentation to leadership.
• Requirements

Do you have experience in Systems integration?, * Proven experience designing and implementing enterprise blockchain solutions beyond cryptocurrency, NFT, gaming, or speculative Web3 applications.

• Experience applying blockchain technology to practical business use cases such as:
• audit trails,
• document verification,
• compliance systems,
• identity verification,
• workflow automation,
• or transaction management.
• Strong understanding of blockchain architecture, distributed ledger technologies, smart contracts, and event-based systems.
• Experience evaluating and selecting blockchain platforms based on business objectives rather than technology trends.
• Strong background in SaaS platform architecture and enterprise software systems.
• Experience integrating blockchain solutions with existing applications through APIs, middleware, and cloud-based services.
• Familiarity with AWS, cloud architecture, security best practices, and scalable application design.
• Understanding of compliance-sensitive systems, regulated environments, or industries requiring auditability and traceability.
• Experience with AI-assisted workflows, automation systems, intelligent decision-support tools, or AI integration projects is strongly preferred.
• Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and executive leadership.
• Experience developing technical roadmaps, architecture recommendations, and implementation strategies.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to balance business objectives, technical feasibility, scalability, and cost considerations.
• Experience evaluating the feasibility, cost-benefit, and business impact of emerging technologies within existing SaaS platforms.
