Job description
Test Strategy & GxP Compliance
- Author and maintain the Master Validation Plan (MVP), Installation Qualification (IQ), Operational Qualification (OQ), and Performance Qualification (PQ) documents for each platform module
- Design test protocols aligned with 21 CFR Part 11, EU Annex 11, and GAMP 5 Category 4/5 software classification
- Validate electronic signature workflows, audit trail completeness, record locking, and change control traceability for all GxP records
- Define and execute Data Integrity (ALCOA+) test cases: Attributable, Legible, Contemporaneous, Original, Accurate
- Participate in risk assessments (FMEA / risk-based testing) to prioritize test coverage across GxP-critical paths
Test Automation
- Build and maintain API automation suites using REST Assured, Karate, or Playwright API mode against Kotlin/Spring microservices
- Develop end-to-end UI automation for complex multi-step GxP workflows (MBR execution, Logbook entries, e-sig capture) using Playwright or Cypress
- Write Kafka consumer/producer test harnesses to validate event sourcing correctness and message ordering guarantees
- Implement TimescaleDB data validation scripts to verify time-series ingestion integrity and continuous aggregate accuracy
- Integrate all automation suites into GitHub Actions / Jenkins CI pipelines with quality gates on PR merge
Multi-Tenant & Isolation Testing
- Design and execute tenant isolation test scenarios: verify that no data, configuration, or AI model bleed occurs across tenant boundaries
- Test per-tenant KMS key segregation and encryption-at-rest correctness for GxP records
- Validate Temporal workflow namespace isolation - ensure cross-tenant workflow interference is impossible
- Execute negative testing for RBAC: verify that role violations surface correct 403 responses and are written to immutable audit logs
Performance & Reliability
- Define SLA targets for API response times, Kafka throughput, and TimescaleDB query latencies under realistic OT workloads
- Design and execute load tests using k6 or Gatling simulating concurrent GxP workflow execution across multiple tenants
- Build chaos engineering scenarios (pod failures, Kafka partition loss, DB failover) to validate platform resilience and data integrity preservation
- Test SCADA edge gateway reconnect and buffered data replay correctness after network outage
Defect Management & Reporting
- Own end-to-end defect lifecycle in clickup: triage, root-cause classification, severity/priority alignment with regulatory risk
- Produce weekly QA metrics dashboards: defect escape rate, automation coverage %, flaky test ratio, open critical/major counts
- Write clear, reproducible bug reports with environment details, API payloads, logs, and GxP impact assessment
- Collaborate with developers in post-release retrospectives and contribute to shift-left quality initiatives
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years’ software QA experience in SaaS enterprise product companies
- Strong API testing: REST, Postman/Insomnia, contract testing (Pact of OpenAPI)
- Automation proficiency: Playwright, Cypress, or Selenium + JAVA/Python/JS
- CI/CD: Github Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI - building and maintaining pipelines
- SQL proficiency for database validation (PostgreSQL or TimescaleDB preferred)
- Experience testing event-driven / microservices architectures
- Ability to read and understand Kotlin or JAVA backend code for test design
Preferred Requirements
- GxP / pharma SaaS experience: 21 CFR Part 11, EU Annex 11, or GAMP 5
- Validation documentation: IQ/OQ/PQ, Validation Summary Report, Traceability Matrix
- Kafka or message queue testing experience
- Performance testing: k6, Gatling, JMeter, or equivalent
- SCADA, MES, or industrial software testing background
- Time-series database testing (TimescaleDB, InfluxDB)
- Security / RBAC / multi-tenant isolation testing
- ISTQB Foundation or Advanced certification
