We are seeking an experienced and hands-on Workday HRMS Manager to lead the administration, optimization, and strategic direction of our Workday environment. This role is ideal for a Workday professional who thrives in a fast-growing organization, enjoys solving complex system challenges, and can balance both strategic leadership and day-to-day execution.
The Workday HRMS Manager will oversee HR systems operations, support critical integrations, partner closely with HR, IT, Payroll, Finance, and external vendors, and lead ongoing system enhancements. This position also includes direct management and development of an HRMS Specialist.
The ideal candidate is a builder, problem-solver, and relationship-focused leader who can navigate ambiguity, drive process improvements, and support organizational growth.
Key ResponsibilitiesWorkday Leadership & Administration
- Serve as the primary owner and administrator of the Workday platform.
- Manage and optimize Workday HCM and related modules.
- Support Workday Recruiting, Reporting, and future module implementations.
- Ensure system stability, data integrity, security, and compliance.
- Lead configuration reviews and continuous system improvements.
Integration Management
- Oversee Workday integrations and interfaces with internal and external systems.
- Troubleshoot, maintain, and enhance complex integration architectures.
- Partner with technical teams and vendors to ensure reliable system connectivity.
- Support future integration initiatives and long-term HR technology roadmap planning.
System Optimization & Process Improvement
- Identify opportunities to streamline HR processes and improve user experience.
- Lead system cleanup, stabilization, and enhancement efforts.
- Develop scalable solutions that support business growth and operational efficiency.
- Recommend and implement best practices for HR technology governance.
Stakeholder Partnership
- Collaborate closely with HR, IT, Payroll, Finance, and business leaders.
- Build strong relationships with implementation partners and third-party vendors.
- Translate business requirements into scalable Workday solutions.
- Provide guidance and support to leadership regarding HR systems strategy.
Team Leadership
- Manage and mentor an HRMS Specialist.
- Provide coaching, training, and professional development support.
- Foster a collaborative and service-oriented team environment.
Growth & Organizational Support
- Support system needs related to organizational growth, acquisitions, and business expansion.
- Evaluate future-state impacts of technology decisions and recommend scalable solutions.
- Participate in HR technology planning and roadmap development.
Requirements
Do you have experience in Workday HCM?, Do you have a Bachelor’s degree?, * Minimum 3 years of Workday HRMS/HRIS experience (6+ years preferred).
- Strong expertise in:
- Workday Human Capital Management (HCM)
- Workday Integrations
- HRIS/HRMS Administration
- Experience supporting enterprise HR systems in a growing organization.
- Strong understanding of HR technology operations, governance, and system maintenance.
- Experience partnering with cross-functional stakeholders and external vendors.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with:
- Workday Recruiting
- Workday Reporting
- Workday Studio
- Complex system integrations
- Experience supporting post-implementation stabilization and optimization initiatives.
- Exposure to mergers, acquisitions, organizational growth, or business transformation projects.
- Previous people leadership experience or demonstrated leadership potential.
- Combination of consulting and internal HRIS ownership experience preferred.
