Job description

The Director of Information Technology is a visionary and tactical role designed for individuals committed to fostering technological advancement and efficiency at Union Community Care. This position focuses on overseeing the IST Department’s technology infrastructure, promoting innovation, and ensuring the alignment of technology initiatives with organizational goals to enhance performance and service delivery to deliver exceptional patient care to our communities., * Manage the IST department’s technology ensuring effective and efficient operations

  • Develop and implement IST strategies that align with the organization’s objectives
  • Oversee the installation, configuration, and maintenance of IST systems and infrastructure
  • Ensure the security and integrity of the organization’s data and IST resources
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the IST team
  • Collaborate with other departments to identify and address their IST needs
  • Develop and manage the IST budget, ensuring cost-effective solutions and resource allocation
  • Provide leadership in disaster recovery planning and execution
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of technology trends, tools, and best practices.
  • Stay informed about the latest advancements in technology and best practices in IST management
  • Encourage and support innovative solutions to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of IST operations
  • Work collaboratively with other senior leaders and external partners to support and implement projects
  • Actively engage in organizational meetings, strategy sessions, and continuous improvement efforts
  • Identify and address recurring IST issues, implementing long-term solutions to prevent future problems
  • Assist in implementing IST security policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with HIPAA and other regulatory requirements
  • Lead the development and implementation of IT security measures and disaster recovery plans.
  • Performs other work-related duties as assigned., In order to fulfill the requirements of this position, duties 1-17 are considered essential functions of the job., This position is required to participate in mandatory all staff meetings, team meetings and trainings.

Requirements

Do you have experience in Team motivation (leadership skill)?, Do you have a Bachelor’s degree?, * Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field desired; advanced degrees and relevant certifications are a plus

  • 5 years of administrative experience required
  • Extensive experience in IS/IT service management or a related leadership role
  • Strong understanding of IS/IT infrastructure, systems, and processes
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills with the ability to engage and motivate a diverse team
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive mindset
  • Ability to lift and move computer equipment as needed
  • Willingness to occasionally work outside regular business hours for system maintenance and emergencies.
