Job description

As a Data Scientist Developer and HANA Modeler, you will design, develop, and optimize end-to-end data pipelines and predictive solutions. You will architect scalable logical and physical data views in SAP HANA and integrate them with advanced statistical models. Your goal is to turn raw, enterprise-scale data into real-time, actionable business insights., SAP HANA Data Modeling (Primary Skill)

  • View Development: Design advanced Attribute, Analytic, and Calculation Views using SAP HANA Studio or Web IDE.
  • Database Programming: Write complex SQLScript, stored procedures, and Core Data Services (CDS) views.
  • Data Integration: Provision data from disparate enterprise systems using Smart Data Integration (SDI) and ETL tools.
  • Performance Tuning: Optimize long-running queries, manage in-memory computation, and handle large data volumes.

Architecture & Collaboration

  • Requirement Translation: Partner with business units to translate operational needs into structural data designs.
  • Data Pipelines: Build and maintain secure, automated ETL pipelines.
  • Visualization Support: Connect optimized HANA models to reporting suites like Tableau, Power BI, or SAP Analytics Cloud.

Data Science & Machine Learning (Secondary Skill)

  • Predictive Modeling: Build, train, and deploy machine learning algorithms using Python or R.
  • Native SAP AI: Utilize the SAP HANA Predictive Analytics Library (PAL) and Automated Predictive Library (APL).
  • Statistical Analysis: Apply advanced statistical techniques for user segmentation, anomaly detection, and forecasting.
  • Model Deployment: Write production-ready code to integrate data science scripts directly with database workflows.

Requirements

Do you have experience in Schema design?, Do you have a Master’s degree?, Technical Competencies

  • Languages: Expert proficiency in SQL/SQLScript, Python, and R.
  • SAP Ecosystem: Deep knowledge of SAP HANA architecture, S/4HANA, and BW/4HANA.
  • Data Modeling: Proficiency in conceptual, logical, and physical data design.

Soft Skills & Methodologies

  • Agile Frameworks: Experience working in Agile, Scrum, or DevOps/DataOps environments.
  • Data Governance: Strong understanding of metadata management, data lineage, and security compliance.
  • Communication: Ability to explain complex data science and structural concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Education and Experience

  • Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, or Information Systems.
  • Experience: 3 to 5+ years of mixed experience across SAP and SQL development roles.
