Software Tester

A Software Tester with web and automation experience to join our fantastic IT Development team!

Our Testers are integral to the creation of high specification software for internal and external stakeholders in the logistics industry. As part of our IT Development Team, you will work closely with the Business Analysts and Developers to ensure bespoke software solutions are delivered to a high standard in a timely manner., * Responsible for building good knowledge of Europa Software Systems and a true understanding of Europa Business areas and practices relating to their team, through knowledge share between team members, to ensure effective solution design.

• Takes initiative to ensure testing best practices are up to date and followed within the development team.
• Write test cases based on acceptance criteria for back log items, provided by the Business Analyst in line with business requirements.
• Execute the above test cases to ensure acceptance criteria has been met.
• Proactively identify any areas of impact in the software under test, and ensure that regression testing has been identified and executed when necessary
• Defect triage and defect management through discussion with team members and/or Business Analyst and Developer to ensure solution-based outcomes are achieved.
• Responsible for mentoring Junior Testers, to up-skill and provide guidance on a day to day basis.
• Attending and participating in daily stand ups, design and specification meetings, showcases and retrospectives as part of the AGILE work practices of the development team.

Do you have experience in Test cases?, * Commercial experience working with software development teams, with a software testing background.

• Web and Automation experience is essential to be considered.
• Knowledge of Customs would be beneficial but not essential
• ISTQB foundation certificate.
• A good understanding of the software development lifecycle
• Quick to learn and able to apply that learning in a way that delivers benefit to the role
• Excellent attention to details with an analytical mind and problem-solving attitude
• Experience defining and executing test scenarios and test cases
• Self-starter with the ability to come with solutions by asking the right questions., * Do you have knowledge of Customs?

Experience:

• Software testing: 3 years (required)
• SQL: 3 years (required)

Licence/Certification:

• ISTQB foundation certificate (preferred)
