Job description

  • Hardware design for test boards, and J-tag boundary scan test development
  • Design, develop, document and maintain production test equipment, programs and procedures
  • Support of tester, ECOs and line down issues
  • Understand HW/FW test requirements, write test plan and provide test solution
  • Design and integrate test fixtures with ME
  • Prepare specifications for production test equipment to be developed by outside vendors
  • Evaluate new product performance, testability and specifications and active participation in DFM/DFT reviews for NPI programs
  • Supports team in testing, calibration, debug, troubleshooting, and failure analysis investigations
  • Train technician to perform board repair, assemble and maintain test equipment
  • Review production yield data, analyze parametric data, and identify areas of improvement
  • Establish root cause of production failures and customer returns
  • Provide feedback to design engineering team of suspected design related product issues
  • Identify and take ownership of continuous improvement activities
  • Accommodate to a flexible work schedule and work extra hours, on occasion, to meet time-sensitive team goals

Requirements

Do you have experience in Schematic development for electrical drafting?, Do you have a Bachelor’s degree in engineering?, * 5+ years of relevant experience in electronic circuit test automation, PCBA manufacturing process and/or consumer electronics industry

  • Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering with 5 or more years related experience as a Test Engineer (manufacturing environment preferred)
  • At least 2 years of experience working in a hardware R&D environment or equivalent
  • Ability to read, interpret and create schematic drawings and technical documents
  • Schematic design using Orcad
  • Guide PCB design using Cadence Allegro
  • Must have the ability to define projects, deliver results according to timeline, and execute to plan
  • Must be able to effectively communicate in writing and verbally, internally and externally
  • Requires strong knowledge of utilizing electronics test equipment such as digital scopes, logic analyzers, and data acquisition systems
  • Onsite support at manufacturing locations to assist, and monitor, assembly line processes and operation
  • Have a desire and natural intuition to understand the functionality of complex microcomputer-based electronics systems and perform root-cause failure analysis
  • Basic understanding of embedded software and it configuration of custom ASIC and FPGA devices; enough to enable and configure basic BIST functionality or to detect firmware set-up issues
  • Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of testing parameters, system margin analysis, and production tests processes
  • Electronic troubleshooting of digital and analog electronics, systems integration faults, test equipment and process flaws
