Job description

  • Analyze cyber threats, research emerging threats, and assess cyber criminal and foreign intelligence entity capabilities.
  • Perform data analysis, correlate and synthesize threat data, and prioritize vulnerabilities.
  • Articulate requirements for development teams.
  • Utilize Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) tools such as Elasticsearch and Splunk.
  • Understand data transfer protocols and document findings in detailed reports., * Conduct continuous research and analysis on emerging threats and threat actor activity to identify and assess capabilities of cyber criminals and/or foreign intelligence entities.
  • Analyze data and prioritize vulnerabilities with the goal to prevent and eradicate threats to critical U.S. systems.
  • Utilize in-depth knowledge of Secure Internet Protocol Router Network (SIPRNet) environments and proven experience interacting, implementing, and managing cross domain solutions in support of national security missions.
  • Understand data in various formats to extract and enrich information to enhance its value.
  • Analyze, correlate, and synthesize threat data from diverse sources.
  • Work with development teams and articulate requirements/enhancements to capabilities and tools.
  • Experience with XKS creating general queries, fingerprinting, and identifying atypical events.
  • Experience with Elastic/Splunk or other Security Information and Event Management (SIEM).
  • Understanding of data transfer protocols and procedures in alignment with standards including RMF, NIST, and ICD 503.
  • Document findings and create detailed reports to ensure tradecraft is continually updated; present results to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with a team of cyber analysts, data integrators, and developers.

Requirements

  • Degree: Technical bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • Years of experience: 3+ years
  • Total Compensation: $209k+ yearly, * Required: Bachelor’s Degree in information technology, information systems, or related field.
  • Required: Seven (7+) years’ experience working in the areas of information technology, information systems and data analysis.
  • Required: Minimum of 5 years of experience with SIPRNet and cross domain solution technologies.
  • Required: U.S. Citizenship and an active TS/SCI security clearance with polygraph.
