  • This role combines network engineering expertise, software development practices, DevOps principles, and infrastructure architecture to help organizations automate, standardize, and improve how they design, deploy, operate, and govern network infrastructure.
  • This architect will play a key role in defining automation platform patterns, integrating systems of record and sources of truth, building reusable automation workflows, and enabling teams to adopt infrastructure-as-code practices.
  • The role is especially focused on platform infrastructure, including Nautobot, CI/CD pipelines, automation runners, observability, data integrations, and supporting services required to operate a reliable network automation ecosystem.
  • The ideal candidate has deep experience with network automation, strong familiarity with DevOps practices, and the ability to translate business and operational requirements into practical platform designs., * Design and implement network automation platforms that support source of truth, configuration management, compliance, lifecycle management, observability, and operational workflows.
  • Architect and deploy Nautobot-based solutions, including core data models, apps, plugins, integrations, jobs, APIs, and source-of-truth workflows.
  • Develop platform architecture patterns for automation environments, including application hosting, CI/CD pipelines, secrets management, artifact repositories, execution environments, container platforms, and observability.
  • Integrate Nautobot and other automation platforms with systems such as ServiceNow, Ansible Automation Platform, Git, CI/CD tools, IPAM/DDI, monitoring systems, cloud platforms, and network controllers.
  • Define and implement infrastructure-as-code and automation standards using tools such as Python, Ansible, Terraform, Git, Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD platforms.

  • Guide teams on automation best practices, including version control, testing, validation, peer review, release management, environment promotion, and rollback strategies.
  • Support the development of data models and source-of-truth strategies for network inventory, circuits, IP addressing, VLANs, device lifecycle, configuration state, and operational metadata.
  • Design secure and resilient platform infrastructure, including authentication, authorization, role-based access control, secrets handling, backup and recovery, high availability, logging, monitoring, and upgrade strategies.
  • Collaborate with network engineers, software developers, DevOps engineers, product owners, project managers, and business stakeholders to deliver automation outcomes.
  • Provide technical leadership during implementation, troubleshooting, platform migrations, upgrades, integrations, and production readiness activities.
  • Document architecture decisions, design patterns, integration flows, operational processes, and platform support requirements.
  • Mentor engineers and delivery teams in network automation, DevOps practices, Nautobot solution design, and platform engineering principles.
