M365 Sharepoint Engineer - The M365 SharePoint Engineer is responsible for the administration and operational support of SharePoint Online and OneDrive. This role ensures that content services are stable, secure, and well-governed, while enabling efficient collaboration across the organization. The position supports foundational content services, freeing engineering capacity for higher-value AI and automation initiatives. Key Responsibilities: * Administer SharePoint Online and OneDrive, including site provisioning, configuration, and lifecycle management * Manage permissions governance and access controls across sites and document libraries * Monitor and optimize storage utilization and data lifecycle policies * Support integration between SharePoint, Teams, and broader M365 services * Implement and maintain governance standards, including alignment with security and compliance requirements * Troubleshoot and resolve platform issues impacting collaboration and content access * Develop and maintain operational documentation and governance guidelines Qualifications: * 5+ years of experience with SharePoint Online and OneDrive administration * Strong understanding of M365 collaboration architecture (Teams, Groups, SharePoint) * Experience with governance, permissions models, and content lifecycle management * Familiarity with Purview, retention policies, and compliance controls preferred Impact: * Stabilizes core content and collaboration platforms * Improves governance and reduces risk exposure * Enables engineering teams to shift focus to AI and advanced platform capabilities
