Hardware Design & Validation Engineer

• Performs design and development engineering assignments related to hardware products and systems including development of new products or updates to existing products.
• Work may encompass one or more areas of engineering including electronic design, or other related fields.
• Duties may include research, evaluation, development, and application of new processes and methods into products.
• May be responsible for establishing and conducting testing routines, developing or executing project plans, budgets, and schedules, and documentation of work and results

Experience Level: 10+ years of experience

The candidate should have HW development testing, where the design is being validated., * Exp with CB design and schematic capture using OrCAD, Altium, or Cadence

• PCB design exposure (critical)
• Schematic design (OrCAD/Altium/Cadence): PCB layout understanding
• Analog + Digital circuit design: Board bring-up (very important), First power-on
• Debugging new boards
• Hardware development testing : Validate design (not production testing)
• Troubleshooting at electrical level : Signals, voltage rails, clocks etc.
• Lab debug tools : Oscilloscope, logic analyzer, power supplies
• R&D / product development environment
