Job description
We’re seeking an experienced MuleSoft Consultant to support a county government integration project connecting major enterprise financial, HR, and vendor management systems. This is a hands-on, individual contributor role - you will design, build, and test API integrations using the full MuleSoft Anypoint Platform.
What You’ll Do
- Design and develop APIs using MuleSoft Anypoint Platform (Anypoint Studio, API Manager, Anypoint Exchange, Runtime Manager)
- Build reusable MuleSoft components, connectors, and RAML specifications
- Architect and maintain integration flows connecting multiple SaaS/ERP platforms
- Manage end-to-end API lifecycle: design, versioning, mapping, testing, deployment
- Configure API security policies, gateways, SLAs, and monitoring
- Troubleshoot integration issues and optimize performance
- Document technical specifications and provide knowledge transfer to internal team members
- Participate in weekly status meetings and maintain a defect/risk tracking log, * This is a short-term, defined-scope contract (3-4 months), with potential for extension based on project needs
- Remote-friendly, with occasional on-site availability as needed
- Must be able to start quickly and commit to weekly progress check-ins
Requirements
Do you have experience in XML?, * 3+ years hands-on MuleSoft experience, including Anypoint Studio, API Manager, Anypoint Exchange, and Runtime Manager
- Strong DataWeave proficiency - comfortable with complex data transformations and mapping
- Proven experience building, deploying, and supporting REST APIs and Mule applications
- Solid understanding of API-led connectivity, microservices architecture, and enterprise integration patterns (EIP)
- Experience integrating two or more SaaS/enterprise systems in a production environment
- Working knowledge of JSON, XML, RAML, OAuth2, TLS, and modern API security practices
- Strong debugging, performance tuning, and environment configuration skills
- Excellent written documentation and communication skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal day-to-day supervision, * MuleSoft Certification: MCD (Level 1 or 2) or MuleSoft Certified Integration Architect
- Experience with any of the following: CGI Advantage, Workday, PaymentWorks, Tyler Munis, or Euna Grants
- Prior experience on government or public sector integration projects
- Familiarity with Azure or AWS cloud platforms and DevOps/CI-CD pipelines
