Job description

We’‘re hiring a hands-on UI/UX Engineer to own the look, feel, and flow of products in the healthcare. You’‘ll work closely with clinicians, product, and engineering to gather requirements, turn ambiguous problems into clear concepts, and produce the wireframes, prototypes, and polished interfaces that get built and shipped. This is a builder’’s role for someone who thinks about the product as a whole, gives importance to the details, and moves fast with modern AI tools.

You must be based in Seattle, or ready to relocate to Seattle.

What you’‘ll do

  • Partner with clinicians, product, and engineering to gather requirements and translate them into clear, actionable design.
  • Produce the full range of design work, from low-fidelity wireframes and user flows to high-fidelity, interactive prototypes, primarily in Figma.
  • Think holistically about how each screen and flow fits the larger product, and how today’’s decisions scale.
  • Take work from concept to shipped: iterate quickly, collaborate on implementation, and make sure what ships matches the intent.
  • Use AI tools fluently to explore ideas, speed up prototyping, and reach shippable quality faster.
  • Help build and grow design foundations: reusable components, patterns, and a coherent visual language.
  • Distill complex clinical concepts into simple, trustworthy, usable experiences.

Requirements

Experience of 2 to 5 years of extensive knowledge in Figma, Prototyping, Using Claude, * A strong portfolio showing end-to-end product design and shipped work.

  • Strong proficiency in Figma, including components, auto-layout, and prototyping.
  • Solid wireframing skills and a clear, structured design process.
  • Proven ability to work with stakeholders, gather requirements, and get it done.
  • Product thinking: you reason about the product as a whole, not just individual screens.
  • A clear, structured way of understanding problems and concepts, especially in complex or ambiguous domains.
  • Very hands-on, with a strong bias toward building and shipping.
  • Fluent, effective use of AI tools in your daily workflow.
  • Based in Seattle, or ready to relocate.

Nice to have

  • Experience designing for healthcare, digital health, clinical, or other data-dense products.
  • Front-end literacy (HTML/CSS, React/TypeScript concepts) or the ability to prototype in code.
  • Familiarity with accessibility standards (WCAG) and privacy considerations (HIPAA/PHI).
  • Experience designing AI-driven interfaces with an eye for trust and clarity.
  • Experience as an early hire in a startup.
