Job description

Autodesk is seeking a highly motivated Senior Software Engineer to join our agile development team building the next generation of our Customer Identity Access Management Platform. As a senior member of our team, you’ll play a key role in developing foundational services that power 150+ Autodesk desktop, mobile, web applications, and cloud services, while supporting a growing third-party developer ecosystem. Our platform handles user authentication, authorization, profiles, and entitlements for millions of customers daily, making it a critical business enabler for Autodesk’s success. You’ll work with cutting-edge AWS technologies to architect and build scalable, high-performance identity services that set the foundation for Autodesk’s future., * Work effectively within a self-organized agile team that builds, owns, and operates production services

  • Lead and contribute to all aspects of service development, including front-end, back-end, DevOps, and quality assurance
  • Participate in and improve service operations including monitoring, alerting, metrics, logging, and troubleshooting
  • Collaborate with architects and product management to understand requirements and deliver elegant, scalable implementations
  • Identify and drive continuous improvements to system scalability, reliability, usability, and security based on production behavior
  • Debug and resolve complex technical issues spanning multiple system components
  • Act as an advocate for the service within the organization, helping product teams with integration and adoption

Requirements

  • BS or MS in Computer Science or related technical field
  • 5+ years of experience building cloud-native RESTful web services and applications
  • Expert-level proficiency in Go, C#, or Java
  • Strong experience with both relational and non-relational data stores
  • Proven track record of building high-performance, highly available services at internet scale
  • Solid understanding of software design patterns and architectural principles
  • Strong commitment to code quality, security, and performance
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to quickly learn new languages, tools, and design patterns
  • Problem-solving mindset with qualities including innovation, adaptability, inclusiveness, accountability, and pragmatism

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with OIDC, OAuth2, and related API authorization protocols
  • Hands-on experience with agile development methodologies
  • Experience with AWS services and container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes)
  • Front-end development experience with HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript
  • Experience mentoring junior engineers and leading technical initiatives

Salary is one part of Autodesk’s competitive compensation package. Offers are based on the candidate’s experience and geographic location. In addition to base salaries, our compensation package may include annual cash bonuses, commissions for sales roles, stock grants, and a comprehensive benefits package.
