Job description

Join Exentec’s innovation team and help define the future of facility operations through AI, Robotics, Augmented Reality (AR), Automation, and IoT. We’re looking for a hands-on Expert Digital Facility Management who can turn complex operational challenges into real-world automation products - from autonomous gas cylinder exchange robots to AR-enabled inspection tools and smart IoT control systems. You’ll work at the intersection of engineering and operations, developing solutions that enhance safety, reliability, and precision in gas, chemical, and utility systems for semiconductor and advanced manufacturing facilities.

Explore your tasks and responsibilities

  • Identify opportunities for labor & risk reduction through the use of robotics and automation.
  • Design and prototype robotic and automation systems that reduce manual labor and chemical exposure.
  • Develop and integrate AR-based tools for inspections, maintenance, and training.
  • Implement AI-driven vision systems for leak detection, anomaly recognition, and safety monitoring.
  • Connect equipment and sensors through IoT platforms to enable predictive analytics and digital twins.
  • Collaborate with facility engineers, EHS, and controls teams to deploy solutions in live operational environments.
  • Lead small, cross-functional development efforts from concept through commissioning.

Requirements

Do you have experience in IoT systems?, Do you have a Master’s degree?, * Bachelor’s or Master’s in Robotics, Mechatronics, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering (or similar field).

  • 6+ years of experience in industrial automation, robotics, or advanced manufacturing systems.
  • Strong background in robotics integration (ROS / ROS2, LiDAR, vision systems) and control logic.
  • Experience with AR platforms (Unity, Unreal Engine, Vuforia, or HoloLens) and AI frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch, OpenCV).
  • Familiarity with PLC, SCADA, OPC-UA, MQTT, and other industrial control/IoT systems.
  • Passion for innovation and hands-on prototyping in high-performance environments.

Benefits & conditions

  • Build first-of-their-kind facility automation products used in some of the world’s most advanced fabs and data centers.
  • Be part of a culture that values Safety, Quality, and Technical Excellence.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of engineers, operators, and innovators redefining how facilities operate.
  • Opportunity to influence and lead future product platforms across AI, robotics, and AR.
