Job description

Fryeburg Academy’s LHE/PAC Operations and Technology Manageris integral to numerous aspects of the LHE/PAC and its daily functioning. This individual works closely with, and reports to the LHE/PAC Director.

Specific Operations and Technology Manager duties fall among the following essential functions of the job:

  • Coordinate and provide A/V support for all LHE/PAC events
  • Maintain A/V equipment, troubleshoot technical issues, and arrange repairs when needed
  • Communicate cleaning and building maintenance needs with facilities and custodial staff
  • Update LHE/PAC website and Facebook page with upcoming events, announcements, etc.
  • Design and send email marketing campaigns to LHE/PAC patrons via bulk mail servicer.
  • Compose press releases for upcoming events and email to PR contact group
  • Inventory A/V equipment and submit order requests to Director as needed
  • Inventory expendables and submit order requests to Director as needed
  • Assemble, train, and supervise students interested in lighting & sound technology
  • Enforce safe stage rigging practices
  • Set up online ticket sales for events using Etix
  • Monitor box office phone messages and return calls/assist with ticket sales as needed
  • Maintain scene shop space
  • Explore potential A/V system upgrades and present to Director as needed
  • Coordinate scheduling/facility use requests with Director
  • Assist with with Pace Galleries exhibition turnovers (patch/paint walls, install vinyl wall lettering, change/re-aim lights)

Requirements

Do you have experience in Working with students?, * Comfortable working with faculty and students in a secondary school environment

  • Expertise in theater control room and stage light and sound technology
  • Excellent management and communications skills
  • Familiarity with professional performance and box office software
  • Ability to work with diverse colleagues fairly, respectfully, and consistently

Preferred Qualifying Education and Experience:

  • Technical Arts / Theater Degree or Certificate
  • Previous professional experience in related field preferred
