AKS / Kubernetes Platform Architect

• Lead the architecture and deployment of Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) and other Kubernetes-based platforms, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and best practices in cloud-native development.
• Design scalable, resilient, and secure cloud infrastructure solutions utilizing VMware, OpenStack, Google Cloud Platform, AWS, Azure, and Rackspace environments.
• Develop comprehensive solution architectures incorporating service-oriented architecture (SOA), microservices, SaaS (Software as a Service), PaaS (Platform as a Service), and IaaS (Infrastructure as a Service) models.
• Implement automation tools such as Terraform, Ansible, Jenkins, Chef, Puppet, PowerShell, Bash scripting, and Git to streamline deployment pipelines and infrastructure provisioning.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on system design for web services, RESTful APIs, microservices architecture, and application development using languages like JavaScript, Python, Java, Ruby on Rails, .NET, and PL/SQL.
• Ensure compliance with security standards including FedRAMP and VPN configurations while establishing robust cloud security protocols.
• Provide technical leadership in integrating virtualization technologies like VMware and Citrix to optimize resource utilization across virtualized environments.
• Support continuous improvement through Agile methodologies by participating in SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle), CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps practices to accelerate delivery cycles. Qualifications

Do you have experience in Web services design?, * Proven experience designing and implementing cloud architectures with expertise in AKS / Kubernetes platforms.

• Strong knowledge of cloud computing concepts including OpenStack, S3 storage solutions, Google Cloud Platform services, AWS offerings such as EC2 and S3 buckets.
• Hands-on experience with virtualization platforms like VMware and Citrix; familiarity with Rackspace hosting environments is a plus.
• Deep understanding of service-oriented architecture (SOA), microservices design patterns, RESTful APIs, and web services development.
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as PowerShell, Bash shell scripting; experience with automation tools including Terraform, Ansible, Jenkins is essential.
• Solid background in operating systems including Linux and Windows; experience with containerization technologies like Docker is required.
• Knowledge of database systems such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle Database Management System (DBMS), Microsoft SQL Server; familiarity with NoSQL databases is advantageous.
• Familiarity with IT security standards including FedRAMP compliance; experience configuring VPNs for secure connectivity.
• Strong problem-solving skills combined with excellent communication abilities; ability to work effectively within Agile teams in fast-paced environments.
