Job description

The selected candidate will serve as a trusted advisor supporting acquisition planning, test strategy development, risk management, and program execution throughout the weapon system lifecycle., * Lead the development and execution of Test & Evaluation strategies for Air Force acquisition programs.

  • Prepare and maintain Test & Evaluation Master Plans (TEMPs), test plans, test procedures, and supporting acquisition documentation.
  • Analyze engineering designs, technical reports, specifications, and performance data to assess impacts on test strategy and program execution.
  • Support Developmental Test & Evaluation (DT&E), Flight Test, and Operational Test & Evaluation (OT&E) activities.
  • Participate in Integrated Test Teams (ITTs), Program Management Reviews, and senior-level acquisition decision meetings.
  • Provide expert input to Requests for Proposals (RFPs), Statements of Work (SOWs), Performance Work Statements (PWSs), and Contract Data Requirements Lists (CDRLs).
  • Develop monthly activity reports, executive briefings, and acquisition program documentation.
  • Advise government leadership on acquisition planning, risk management, system performance, and test execution activities.
  • Support Integrated Master Plan (IMP) and Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) reviews.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable Department of Defense and Department of the Air Force acquisition and test policies.

Requirements

Do you have experience in Test Planning (Quality assurance practices)?, Do you have a Bachelor’s degree?, * Bachelor’s degree and 10-15 years of Department of Defense Acquisition and Test & Evaluation experience; or

  • Master’s degree and 8-13 years of Department of Defense Acquisition and Test & Evaluation experience.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting weapon system Test & Evaluation activities.
  • Experience developing Test & Evaluation Master Plans (TEMPs), test plans, and test procedures.
  • Knowledge of Department of Defense acquisition lifecycle processes and documentation.
  • Experience supporting acquisition milestone activities, program reviews, and integrated test efforts.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project.
  • Active Top Secret security clearance.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior Air Force military or civilian acquisition experience.
  • Experience supporting Air Force Life Cycle Management Center (AFLCMC) programs.
  • Experience supporting Major Defense Acquisition Programs (MDAPs).
  • Experience supporting Developmental Test & Evaluation (DT&E), Flight Test, or Operational Test & Evaluation (OT&E) activities.
  • Experience with systems engineering, verification and validation (V&V), and requirements management.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have

  • A strong background in Air Force acquisition and Test & Evaluation.
  • Experience supporting complex weapon system programs.
  • Expertise in TEMP development and test strategy planning.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with senior government and contractor leadership.
  • A proactive, mission-focused approach to solving complex acquisition and test challenges.
  • The ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within integrated government and contractor teams.
