Job description
This is NOT a feature-development or product-building role. You will not be asked to write application layer code or build new product features from scratch.
Your Mission: Replicate, deploy, optimize, and maintain our existing mature backend architecture and globally distributed proxy nodes (Dynamic Residential, Static ISP, and Datacenter networks) within US-based server environments and custom IDCs.
Flexibility: We fully respect your full-time commitments. This role is highly asynchronous; work can be performed during evenings or weekends, provided that critical network alerts are addressed within a reasonable SLA.
Core Responsibilities
Infrastructure Replication: Take ownership of deploying our pre-compiled backend binary packages and Docker/K8s environments onto US cloud providers (AWS, DigitalOcean, Linode) and bare-metal bare servers.
Network Maintenance & Optimization: Monitor the health, connectivity, and throughput of our US proxy tunnels (HTTP/SOCKS5). Optimize Linux kernel parameters (e.g., TCP congestion control/BBR, file descriptors) to minimize latency and packet loss.
Incident Response & On-Call: Serve as the local point of contact for infrastructure-level anomalies, sudden node disconnections, or routing issues. Perform swift troubleshooting and live log diagnostics.
Abuse & Security Monitoring: Monitor traffic anomalies to detect and mitigate malicious network activities (e.g., DDoS, financial fraud, unauthorized credential stuffing) to protect our IP pool reputation and ASN health.
Cross-Border Alignment: Collaborate asynchronously with our Asia-based core dev team to sync system patches, configuration updates, and infrastructure alignment.
Requirements
Do you have experience in Shell Scripting?, As we aggressively expand our infrastructure footprint into the US market, we are seeking a sharp, trustworthy, and hands-on Infrastructure & DevOps Engineer to act as our local technical guardian. Hardcore Linux Networking: Expert-level understanding of TCP/IP, SOCKS5, HTTP/2, HTTP/3, IPTables, ASN routing, and proxy tunneling mechanisms.
DevOps & Infrastructure-as-Code: Strong experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Linux system administration, and shell scripting.
Bilingual Capability (Crucial): Fluent in Mandarin Chinese (written and verbal) to read core technical documentation and seamlessly sync with our Asia-based dev team, and native/fluent English to interact with US server providers if needed.
Background: Prior experience working at network infrastructure, CDN, cybersecurity, or proxy-related companies (e.g., Cloudflare, Akamai, Fastly, Fortinet, or similar infrastructure startups) is a massive plus., * Linux networking or proxy protocol (TCP/IP, SOCKS5: 2 years (Preferred)
