Job description

The GIS Specialist will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and analyzing geospatial data used to support field operations, permitting, regulatory compliance, surveying, damage prevention, pipeline integrity, and oil and gas development projects., · Create and maintain GIS databases and mapping systems.

· Develop professional maps, exhibits, and project deliverables.

· Process GPS field data and integrate into GIS platforms.

· Support permitting and regulatory compliance projects.

· Prepare maps for APDs, ROWs, pipeline projects, facility locations, and environmental reviews.

· Maintain and update geospatial records and project files.

· Coordinate with surveyors, field personnel, project managers, operators, and regulatory agencies.

· Perform spatial analysis and data quality control.

· Utilize aerial imagery, topographic maps, plats, and legal descriptions.

· Assist with project planning, field support, and asset management initiatives.

Requirements

Do you have experience in Surveying drones?, Do you have a Associate’s degree?, Chenault Consulting, Inc. (CCI) is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented GIS Specialist to join our team in Farmington, New Mexico. This position will support a variety of oil and gas, pipeline, utility, surveying, permitting, and regulatory compliance projects throughout the San Juan Basin and surrounding areas.

The ideal candidate will have experience with GIS mapping, spatial data management, GPS data collection, and the creation of professional maps, exhibits, and project deliverables., · Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in GIS, Geography, Surveying, Engineering Technology, Environmental Science, or related field preferred.

· Experience with ESRI ArcGIS Pro, ArcMap, ArcGIS Online, or similar GIS software.

· Experience working in the oil and gas industry preferred.

· Understanding of land survey data, legal descriptions, and coordinate systems.

· Experience with GPS data collection and processing.

· Knowledge of BLM, OCD, tribal, state, and federal mapping requirements is a plus.

· Strong organizational and communication skills.

· Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
