Job description

The Software Engineer, Entry-Level is responsible for designing, developing, testing, documenting, and maintaining software solutions throughout the full software development lifecycle.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, test, verify, sustain, and fully document software throughout its lifecycle.

Participate in code reviews to learn and apply software best practices and coding standards.

Collaborate with SMEs and stakeholders to ensure software requirements are met.

Support integration tests.

Ensure all software is maintained under a rigorous configuration management process.

Other responsibilities as assigned., Employees in these positions will function in a general office/cubicle setting environment, and laboratory/testing setting using standard office equipment and various electronic testing equipment, including a computer, telephone, printers, video equipment, computer software, and testing equipment. Will interact in a general office setting environment with various personnel; participate in meetings and contribute to team success; deliver timely results and produce reports; receive and communicate information; may include telework. May function in a specialized laboratory/testing environment using electronic testing equipment, computer software, and complex systems. May move and test equipment of various weights. Laboratory environment may require use of protective equipment (PPE) including but not limited to safety glasses and protective hearing and footwear. May be expected to work varying shifts and hours to ensure successful operation of activities in the organization due to business demands; travel occasionally for assigned work.

Requirements

Do you have experience in Windows?, Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related technical discipline from an accredited institution.

0-2 years of software development experience, including academic, internship, or personal project work.

Experience with at least one high-level programming language (C, C++, Python, etc.) and shell scripting.

Experience in Linux and Windows development environment.

Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git).

Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

A self-starter, team player with a desire to work with a team of engineers, integrators, analysts, and others in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing and perform general office functions.

U.S. Citizenship with the ability to maintain an Active Secret Security clearance and the designated security clearance level is required.
